Sitka watched Iris moving with her legs with a new found step. She was almost a yearling. And Sitka, kicked her off the milk at the end of winter. She'd seen a mare around lately, and it interested her slightly. It was a mare with these green specks on her shoulder. Sitka hadn't yet introduced herself yet. Althrough she did kinda remember the mare somewhat. But not much since she left Kakuhura at such a young age, she remembered the swim to the main-land, and thinking of it scared her, since she was sore for weeks. From looking at the mare, she saw a belly round with pregnancy, she hadnt yet told Iris of the new mare, and perhaps by her guess a new half sibling for her daughter. Sitka let her eyes wander over to Iris by the bones. Sitka wondered what that little baby of that mare's would look like.
"I can't believe Colts stay in here sometimes." Iris said to herself, staring at the big bones of the whale. The thought of going into the rib cage made Iris's fur stand on end. Iris blinked her eyes and looked over at Sitka, Sitka was watching her, but then turned her body to look at the ocean. "Mom's been wierd lately." Iris said to herself. "She's been looking at the ocean more and thinking more instead of gawking over me. Must be because she's already weaned me. That must be it." She said to herself

She had rarely been this happy actually, even going through the Graveyard, with the whale bones, her mood didn't sink even one bit. It was because of several reasons actually. Not only had Risquè moved her up from being a herd member to being his royal wife, she was also bearing their first foal. Well, his second, but it was their first foal, the first they had together, and it made her happy, just thinking about it, and her round belly was a constant reminder of it. It was yet to get as big as it would be, but it was still round and quite obvious. How could a mare be so happy about getting her first foal? She was excited about it, and looked forward to see it and take care of it, no matter what the gender and looks of it.
All that was in her wierd little thoughts as she walked the beach towards the whale bones, but already from a distance she could see the mare and the foal. She recognized them but she hadn't actually talked with them yet, but everything had a first time, right? So she kept on walking, her black coat shining with health and the gems glittering over her body like the jewels they were, and she actually took a little pride in her looks right now, for the first time in a long time ago. As she closed in on the mare she was moving carefully, so that she made no threat to the yearling that was running around, but she was aiming for Sitka, the mare, because she wanted to say hello, one herd member to another. With a light movement of her delicate head, she got the forelock out of her green eyes so that she could see the mare and foal properly. "Hello there."

"Hello there." Sitka removed her gaze from the ocean, and looked over at the mare, her belly was noticeable, filled with a life. Sitka blinked her eyes and made a smile. "Hello, I've seen you around but never happened to properly introduce myself. I'm Sitka." Sitka's eyes wandered to The mares shoulder, seeing the green gems sparkling in the noon sunlight. She let her eyes return to the mares Green eyes. So she wouldn't seem rude. She'd heard of the mutations that had been happening to horses, and this mare was the first one she had met. Most Mutations she had heard of were un-kindly to the horses, but this mares seemed to have fitted her nice, in fact it gave the mare a beautiful look in Sitka's eyes.
Iris had wandered over to the ocean surf by the time the mare had approached Sitka. Iris let her nostrils catch the scent of the mare. Iris found Risque's scent mixed in. Iris quickly did a spin from her head towards the ocean, to making a small lope over to Sitka and the mare. When she approached Sitka removed her gaze from the mare for a moment. "Oh this is my daughter Iris." Iris's eyes blinked with surprise. "Why do you have green stars on your shoulder?" Iris turned her head to its side, looking at them curiously.

She didn't remember Sitka from the past, but she hadn't paid that much attention on what horses was in the herd when she was little either, she had left the herd as soon as she had been weaned and could take of herself. It was easier to be young and inexpeienced on these island, because there weren't so many predators that could hurt a yearling. Her life hadn't been that good in the herd, so she hadn't really concentrated on remembering the other members, she just knew that almost everyone had bullied her. Her mother, her father, the other foal. She had been as lonely as one can be, so she had left to never come back. But here she was, embracing the herd life more than she could ever imagine, and she liked it. As the other mare introduced herself, she smiled a little, looking at the mare, the same color as Risque, just different markings and manes and such. Sitka was her name it seemed. "It's nice to meet you Sitka, I'm Isadora." There, she didn't mention her rank, because she didn't want to. She wasn't used to having a high rank so she wouldn't go around saying it to people,.
When the foal came up, Iris, Sitkas daughter, she turned her gaze to the filly just as she commented on the green gems. It made Isa a little cautious of course, but she didn't want to be that frighted mare anymore, so she took a deep, soundless breath and looked at Iris after eyeing her own gems for a second. "They're not stars. It's green emeralds. I was born with them since I'm a little... mutated." It was hard for her to say that, because it held so many memories for her. It had been a negative word when she was young, but the world was changing and mutation became more and more accepted, she just had to get some time to get used to it. But she founds the yearlings curious question a little cute actually.

Sitka herself did'nt quite remember anyone except Risk, since her time on Kakuhura as a yearling consisted of getting ready to swim over. Besides, she'd had her crush on Risk all of her days of a yearling. She did regret leaving Kakuhura at such an age. And when she returned, she hoped that she wouldn't be treated as a mainlander, she most likely could'nt bear being treated like that. Sitka was glad that Risk had accepted her back into the herd. She listened for The mare's name "Isadora? Thats a wonderful name, its very nice to meet you also." After saying that, Iris approched. Watching her shoulder like some treasure was held there. Iris's words towards the mutation on Isadora's shoulder made Sitka want to laugh, but didn't want to seem rude. Before she could say anything to Iris, Isadora quickly explained what was on her shoulder.
Iris completley disregarded the explanation, except for the part about being born with emeralds. Before Iris could come up with something else about stars, she caught sight of Isadora's stomach. Iris went very wide eyed then. "A foal?!" She said in a very excited voice. She then did a one-eighty and ran off towards the ocean with a buck. "There's going to be another foal on Kakuhura!!!" Sitka couldn't help but laugh at this sudden excitment.
OOC: There, chat has been making me post pone this for a tiny bit XD Cause you know chat XD

She varely managed to smile at Sitka before Iris commented on her belly, which made her turn her head aginst the yearling once again, now with a softer look, even when she started to run towrds the ocean. Yes, there would be another foal at Kahukura, if everything went alright, and she felt that it would. She couldn't let this foal die, a part of her would die then too, because she already loved the little life growing inside of her. The fact that she loved Risque made it even easier to love it and hope for it to be healthy when it was born. And Iris would get a new playing friend, which would benefit all of them, because it would let Isa have a breather from time to time when Iris was playing with it.
Anyways, she soon turned her head against Sitka again with a smile, the foals excitement had been contagious. "Your daughter seems to be full of joy. I actually long for mine." She said a little quietly, just because she was so happy about it, her world hadn't been this happy ever, but thanks to Risque, it was, and she hoped to be friends with Sitka as well as Ilona, who she had met earlier. She kinda had to get to know everyone, since she was the royal wife, the leadmare or whatever, she was supposed to take care of the herd when Risqye wasn't around to do it. "Were you born here on Kahukura?"

Sitka turned to face Isadora after Iris had bounded off towards the bones. "She does get excited at times like this." She said quietly with a smile. "Were you born here on Kahukura?" The question seemed odd for a split second, than Sitka remembered that she'd only just met Isadora. "Why yes, I was. I did recently just return about a year ago through. You see my Mother took me across to the mainland when I was a yearling." She smiled, not caring if she was called a mainlander at all. She did like Kakuhura way better than the plains. The thought of leaving the islands again struck Sitka right in the heart. Because in her heart, she'd always considered herself an islander. Mainlander wasn't her favorite word, and never will be.
Iris bounded off towards the whale bones after darting to the ocean and making a swift turn to the bones, Her head was busy gazing at the bones, and wondering when she'd get to see her new sibling, And most of all get to play with he or she. Althrough Iris was hoping for a little sister, she could just imagine it, talking to a sister about mare things that she didnt yet understand.
