Aptly named for its fiery similarity to a pheonix, Fire Bird's Gorge is a twisting and turning maze of high sandstone walls and dead-ends. While a refuge from the burning sun of the desert, the red canyon can be just as sinister. However, for those that know their way around, it can be nothing more than a harmless place to play hide and seek! For such a reason, it is often here where mares of the desert herd come to foal.
Surrounded by the barren red wastelands of the desert, the Gardens of Elysia are a breath of life into those who live in it. As the only permanent and dependable source of water in the desert, Elysia provides food and shelter to those who seek it. Hidden within a valley of tall sand dunes, the Gardens of Elysia are easy to miss or, in the unfortunate case of many a dead traveler, to be mistaken as nothing more than a mirage.
The Saraphs are a vast expanse of rolling sand dunes that take up the majority of the Southern Range. More like a sea of sand rather than a few dunes, the name makes this harsh desert a little more friendly than it is. While probably one of the largest territories, it can only support a very small herd due to limited resources. With intensely hot summers and often freezing night temperatures, only the hardiest individuals can hope to survive. One benefit is that there aren't many predators here - except the sun.
