So, I'm not entirely sure what to say. I've been gone the last two days on campus tours of potential colleges and I'm so freaked out right now that I haven't had as much time to devote to roleplaying as I'd like. Then again, I sort of turn to this place when I need to escape from all the craziness of my life, y'know? So, all in all, not sure if this is really an "absence" thread; I suppose it is. Just letting you in on the happenings of hudlife. If I'm not here, I'm either at school, doing hw, or freaking out about college. Doesn't help that my mommy is gone for like three or four more weeks (she's already been gone two).
Oh, and I won't be on pretty much at all tomorrow except maybe on the phone because I'm going to an all-day jazz band thing which happens to be hosted at one of the colleges I'm freaking out about. Small world.
Anyways, I will NOT be leaving, so no worries there! Just a scary time in my life. I hate not knowing what's coming next for me. I just hope my family and I make a decision soon.
Lastly, I figured I should let it all out here. I'd rather not have to talk about it in the cbox so don't worry, you won't hear anything about it there. Thank you all so much for providing me with such an amazing atmosphere for expressing myself and my ideas through such a wonderful art form. (I mean, what else is roleplaying? xD) BIG thank-yous to Strider, Poizy, Skibbs, Scar, Snowy, and especially my lovely Hattie for sticking with me and being such amazing friends, I've known y'all for almost two years now and I wouldn't have it any other way. I know I can always turn to you guys for anything.
Anyways, thanks for listening to my rant. I figured I wouldn't include any specific information because y'know. Safety and all. ;]

GURRLL college is soooo chill, don't even stress out about it! Sure the classes are tougher but the schedules are so much nicer and everyone is just... way more relaxed. Everyone who is there is there for a reason. It's not like high school where you just go because you have too. In college, people who want to be there are there.
Really you don't need to stress! I know it's confusing and, yes, stressful to pick the college you go to. But once you know, you know. <3
Don't worry about us here! Lord knows I'm struggling with keeping my posting up, lol.

Like Stri said, college is not that big of deal once you get there. Yeah, at first it's harder because the classes are harder and you have to reteach yourself how to study. But you have much more control over your schedule, and the number of people who don't want to be there is much, much, much lower than in high school. Oh, and you get treated like an adult pretty much all the time, because you're living much more independently so that kinda by default makes you an adult.
You'll figure out which college in the end. Just try to stay calm about it, and keep doing visits and talking to people about the different colleges. That's how I figured out where to go. I was really torn between UWyo and CSU. It was visiting and talking with faculty for the programs I was looking into that lead to me making my decision. Until you make up your mind, there is no such thing as getting too much information about the school and their programs of interest.
