The child quaked with anxiety as well as a chill as he stood tightly against his mothers spotted brown body. She was fuzzy and warm from the winter season; she emanated a angry heat that seemed to be the only possible thing that had kept Jemaine alive through the flood and the snow. The pair had been living in the trees near the eastern shore since the muddy water had taken over the territory. Audrey didn't want to leave Auster, she couldn't bring her heart to allow it. Still she was constantly searching for her brother, yet fearing their impending meeting with every fiber of her being. She hadn't seen him since the flood; she hadn't seen anyone since the flood. It was a rather lonely existence on the eastern border. Not much lived here, or at least nothing tame enough to be seen.
The chill swept over the ocean, leaving the sky gloomy and dark with the winter season. Snow hung thickly in the tree's falling every so often to relieve the heavy weight on the branches. Each thump of wet against wet caused Jemaine to jump out of his feathers. He was a fearful child by nature. Based on his life so far, Audrey blamed this characteristic on herself, calling his comforting rituals merely a side effect of his unusual upbringing. Mama, He would whisper, rubbing his little, blue head on her shoulder three times exactly before whispering her name again. After the second whisper he would speak in his broken child's sentences, but if ever he needed to say something very important he absolutely had to preform his ritual before speaking. She tried walking away, even pushing at him, but his nervous lips remained sealed until the third rub.
Baby, Baby, Baby. She would always say, mimiking his obsession with the number three. I'll always always always love you. His pretty blue coat would press deeper into her stomach with each word. He loved his momma a lot and she couldn't imagine life without him, just as she never could have imagined life without Aquila. Where was he now? Fear shook her as she thought, trying to keep her son protected from any cool breezes.

[bg=090909][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true]» He had often ventured to the Onyx Shores; more out of necessity than actual want, but over time he grew to care for the black shores and impulsive waters. Goer would stand nearly hours upon the shores almost in complete stillness, however this was not to be such a day for peace. Coeur had somehow come up missing in no doubt in the stallions mind gone off once more on his own to prove some sort of worth or ability that would impress. He was not suited for raising the colt, yet his mother had disappeared and left the task; Coeur was old enough he no longer needed a mare and that left Goer to raise the colt which was proving difficult. His thin patience was already worn down from the morning spent looking for the oddly marked colt and the shores were the last place he could think Coeur would run off to. His pelt quivered in the repressed anger, but as well in nervous energy he was unfamiliar with.
» Briskly walking along the shores he seemed alert and nearly ready to jump at any sudden sign or noise; the morning had sent him into a nervous state that he nearly looked like some young stallion with wide eyes. Looking into the distance he noticed a mare and her foal; it was one of his own mares in the herd yet he could not remember much about her. Sighing deeply he approached the pair still with the ever present display of a King. "Good evening." He nodded to both mare and foal before he made his intent clear. "I am searching for Coeur, have you seen his oddly marked body?" As of now Coeur was the only son to Goer which put him first in line to ever take over after his fathers' passing, as well his strange mutations somewhat made him familiar enough with the herd when he was around.
