giggle. giggle. giggle. The antsy hoof beats of a light figured equine danced quickly closer and closer to the border they had never been able to cross. It was only a matter of time before larger, worried hooves would pound across following the dainty one, but the time spent alone was so worth it to her.
Audrey could smell the border, as well as the lands beyond. She promised herself she'd make it this time, that she wouldn't get distracted until she was far off from the border. She snorted, throwing up her head and lengthening her stride.
She was nearly there, a few feet would have brought her farther then she had ever been, and then a flash of blue hit the corner of her eye. Audrey stopped dead in her tracks, completely forgetting the border for a few moments. Hello? She directed her attention towards the blue patch of something that stuck through the foliage. She was extremely intrigued.
ooc: shes a little ditsy, BUT CUTE.

Lunch times was serious times.
There were very few things that successfully captured Rhys' attention from his never ending duty of seeking out mates. His stomach was one of those few. The summer crop of foliage in Auster was adequate, fulfilling Rhys' hunger rather quickly. Careful not to take too much, the "peahorse" (as his intolerable sister Sutton used to call him) raised his head, chewing on his last bit of lunch for the day. His eyes followed what his ears captured first - a new arrival.
His expression did not change as he watched her, one brow higher than the other in a rather judgemental fashion. He swallowed, hearing her voice through the trees. It was hard to miss him. He'd give her that. Not many things in the wild were blue besides the ocean and a deep lake. Some wildflowers matched his hue...
"I'm sorry love, you're a bit distant for proper conversation," he called loudly enough to reach her. Rhys had no intention of moving from his spot. His words seemed to have the implication that she would need to come to him, not the other way around. Why would he waste his time and effort going to meet her when he knew he'd be disappointed when he reached her? With a snort, he turned his head in the direction she'd originally been heading in. Where had she been going?
OOC: I AGREE, HOWEVER IT IS SPELLED "DITZY". Only reason I correct you is because I never miss an opportunity to use a "z" in words. <3

Ah, of course she was too far away. Audrey listened to the stallions voice calling out to her and decided it was a marvelous idea to go and meet him. The bay roan had only met two stallions, other then her brother, in her lifetime, and she had met neither of them alone. The thought excited her, and she completely forgot about the blueish mutant color that had originally caught her attention. Horses weren't blue anyway, and she was going to met a horse.
As she stepped around tree limbs and through brush, Audrey grew closer and closer to the blue object, which seemed to be placed where the male voice had been coming from. He must be behind it. She concluded, nodding her head slightly and slipping through the last bit of shrubbery that blocked a full view of what she was looking at. And what she was looking at was sure a sight to behold.
You're blue. She gasped. Her brown eye opened wide with amazement. The young mare had never seen anything like it in her life. She took a few curious steps closer, her demeanor still riddled with naive awe. I mean, uh... sorry sir. She scrunched her face, realizing what she had just done. You're beautiful. Er.... I'm Audrey. It's nice to met you. She felt her skin grow hot with embarrassment, and her legs step back with a slight fear.
stupid. stupid. stupid.
ooc: oops. XD me and my spelling issues.

The mare wasted no time in approaching. It made no difference to Rhys - he would stay put. He would even submit to conversing with her, as long as she made it clear she wanted to speak with him. The stallion couldn't say no to girls. It was a character flaw, in his book.
But this one. This one took the cake of oblivion. What had she thought she had seen when something blue had caught her eye? Had she not immediately noticed his coat, he would've thought her color-blind and simply observant.
"Well what did you expect? That you were imagining the blue from that distance?" He stood tall today, unwilling to let his ordinary height get the best of him. His black eyes showed little interest in the mare, though he knew that that wouldn't last long. His primal instinct was stronger than many stallions' and naught but a few girls slipped past him unscathed. With this one's mind, Rhys was sure she'd be his next victim.
"How conventional," he noted. "Couldn't you come up with something a bit more exciting, yeah?" His tone ended playfully, a smirk emerging on his white muzzle.
OOC: fyi, he's not a rapist. he's just popular w/ da ladies xD up to you whether or not you want a peafoalie <3

The small mares brow furrowed as the stallion spoke. Although her eyes were unable to move from him, the high and mighty thing showed little interest in Audrey. She scoffed, pawing lightly at the ground as she watched him. Her muscles tensed and she second guessed wither or not she should have approached. She didn't like to be disappointed and this meeting seemed to provide plenty of disappointment so far.
Well, I thought it was rather... exciting. You know, considering you are blue, and well I'm normal. Irritation showed lightly in her voice, and she continued to fidget in place. Whats your name? She flicked her head his way, as if to invite his answer. It wasn't so much fear that kept her at bay, rather then her older brother, who was bound to be on his way to catch her by now. She glanced back to the border, wondering if there would be more interesting conversation out there.

As the stallions head lowered, allowing those exciting feathers to brush around his face, Audrey found herself losing control of herself again. She wasn't stupid, she just had issues with impulse control. One white hoof in front of a brown one brought her that much closer to the thing Aquila had always warned her about. He was dangerous wither or not she kept her wits about her. His coat alone had taken her from her goal, her path, and as she strayed further and further she seemed to be taken into his siren call.
You know, she whispered stopping herself again. I think its my brother. She swallowed softly, nervously and glanced back deep into the territory. He likes to be right here by me at all times. She looked back to Rhys, eyeing him playfully. I'm running away, for the time being.
It's all so exciting.

She got even closer still, causing the cerulean stallion to take his head back up, almost presenting his chest in a noble and proud fashion. His brows furrowed and his ears fell back, a frown on his face. Rhys cocked his head, the grimace on his face intensifying as she told him of her follower.
"Your brothah..." Her brother... That made things more interesting.Yes. He would have her. The prospect of doing so all the while so close a relative as a brother was looking for her excited him. The danger presented by being found... It was exhilarating. He would entertain the company of this one for a bit longer. Just a bit...
"Runnin' away? He that bad of a bloke?" He held on to his sneer, going along with her own smirk. He took a step forward and positioned himself so that his cheek could meet hers if he saw fit. His exhalations landed on her withers as he began to lightly groom her albeit ordinary mane...
OOC: Heeeeee's a creeper. A sexy creeper, anyway. xD AUDREY IS SO CUTE. <3

Bloke? She thought to herself. What the hell does that mean? The roaned mare’s face showed her confusion for a few moments as she pondered his words. With her guard down, Audrey was vulnerable to the beautiful stallion. She helplessly watched as he sneaked closer. It wasn't like she didn't want him closer, more that she knew he shouldn't be closer. Again she looked to the border as she felt his breath close in on her neck. His touch was gentle, although a little rougher then Aquila's grooming technique. This was different though, he wasn't her kin.
He's not bad. She managed to get out the words as she stood still beside him. Audrey wanted to ask what "bloke" meant, but she felt stupid even thinking to ask him. He's very good, I don't know what I'd do without him sometimes. We've never been apart. She looked back to the stallion, watching him move. That's why I'm running away. She tried to sound proud, to sound brave. So that I can have a little alone time before he finds me. A light smile took over her face as he hit a particularly itchy spot.
ooc: muahaha, Audrey gonna be in troubleee

Never been apart? Today was her lucky day...
"'Ow come you're runnin' away if you know you'll be caught?" Rhys pulled back from her side to look at her in the eye with a furrowed brow. It didn't make sense. Then again, maybe it was sort of a little game for them. He didn't know her brother, so he had no room to assume anything. Looking back, she was pretty. He found it hard to admit, but even being as plain as she was, this mare had something about her that drew him closer. Perhaps it was simply her gender that called him nearer and nearer.
Rhys returned to grooming, not finding all that much to clean. He commended her for escaping her brother, but he knew the little wish for "alone time" would not pan out the way she planned. After all, she had approached him. It was a done deal.
"What shall I call you then, love?" he said in between groomings...
