They say bad things happen for a reason, But no wise words gonna stop the bleedin.... Brisè cantered along, silent as a ghost, as her small sharp hooves connected with the soft soil below. She weaved through the trees with ease, it was instinct to her. She tossed her cranium, audits flicked forward, listening for any sounds of anyone. But all that met her ears were the scurry of claws up bark. She sighed and stopped, swishing her long creamy tail. Her aqua orbs scanned the area, but to no avail, there was nothing.
A small snap and thud behind her had her on her hind legs, seal brown body twisting and turning, eyes eagerly looking behind her. All she saw was a few pinecones still rolling away from a tree, though, and she sighed again. Bri started forward again, coming to a crystal clear stream and looking at the irregular blaze that jutted and jagged across her face. Then those bright, glowing aqua eyes that she admired. She was unsure of how she had got them, yet she was glad for them. She grinned at herself, before forcing her maw through the thin sheer surface of the cool water, and drinking deeply. The water ran across her tongue and down her throat, making her shiver slightly as it settled in her stomach. Bri raised her cranium, water droplets dripping off her maw as she enjoyed the warm filtered sunlight on her -reversed- brindled back. Her orbs scanned the area again, looking for something.

Rhys loved this forest. It was perfect. The trees offered ample shade during the hotter months and yet just enough sunlight bore through holes in the canopy to satisfy his need for light. He much preferred a bright environment to a dark one - all the better to be seen in, really.
The blue stallion grazed today beneath the shade of perhaps the most stunning tree in the forest - a tulip tree. His ocellated mane and tail shone brightly against the tree's yellow and orange blooms as Rhys munched his morning feast. He could find no fault in the day's beginning - bright, unobtrusive light mixed with complete tranquility... What could be better? Then, suddenly his day grew even sweeter as he heard the soft hoofbeats of a passing equine.
The radiant stranger could not miss his gaze as it followed her to the stream she drank from. There was nothing like the form of a mare. It was truly unmistakeable from that of a stallion. Feeling the constant ember within him murmur at the sight of her, Rhys knew how he'd spend today. It had truly been all too long since he'd had a day of fun. He picked up his front hooves in a small rear before abandoning his small patch of greens for the mare's company.
Tossing his mane to the opposite side of his neck, Rhys prepared his speech. "I daresay the stream would rather be asked before you steal its composition." His deep voice was not dark - rather bright in fact for one so lowly placed, complete with a snide smile. Surely such a playful greeting would capture her attention.

If I could write you a song, and make you fall in love, I would already have you up under my arm.... Brisè's head whipped around as a booming voice met her audits. 'I daresay the stream would rather be asked before you steal its composition,' the stranger said, causing Bri the twist harshly to see the equine. It was a stag. But, this was not like any other stag, he had a blue coat, with green hair like peacock feathers. He had a sly smile upon his face, watching her with a smirk in his eyes. Bri didn't flinch at his look though, and smiled herself, "Steal? Why I was mearly getting a drink, no harm done, right?" Bri questioned, smiling at the stag and taking a small step forward. She bowed her head slightly- respectfully. "And- hello to you too," Bri said, with a hint of sarcasm, a small laugh bubbling from her lips, her aqua orbs flickered, scanning the unique mutation. It was a lot different then her simple one- yet she didn't mind. She was satisfied with her coloring.
She stood her full height, swishing her tail slightly. What was she to do with this stag? Would he be like all the others- easy, vulnerable, or would he be a challenge? Her lips curled up, either would be fine. Just fine....

"What you consider 'merely getting a drink' is construed much differently by the stream's point of view," he smirked as he approached her. The mare was a beauty, but what mare wasn't? Rhys longed for the day when he met a mare he didn't prefer. He supposed it would never happen. With a chuckle, he trashed the thought, focusing back on this mare. Taking his second look, he was captured by her eyes. They were like none he'd seen. Eyes like hers caught him unawares; a slight bolt of electricity shot through him upon the realization that she too was unnatural. Rhys gave the mutated special treatment that was not offered to those of ordinary appearances. Shallow, some could call it. Opportunistic, he called it.
"Imagine if someone were to approach you," he spoke as he neared her, halting at her side, "and steal your thoughts? Your knowledge?" His voice trailed off a little as he looked closely into her gaze, unable to stray from her aqua prisons. "Your ear?" Rhys reached up to nip her ear playfully, a snide chuckle filling his aura. "Perhaps you'd like to be notified beforehand?" Eager to end his metaphor, the blue stallion waved his tail back and forth behind him, the feathers catching on his royal blue hocks.
"What is your monicker, Miss?" Rhys always asked for identities in this way. Asking for a nickname would lessen any attachment he established with this lovely girl. He had this down to a science.

I've been looking under rocks and breaking locks, Just tryna find ya... 'What you consider 'merely getting a drink' is construed much differently by the stream's point of view,' the stag said, with another smirk on his face , as he approached Bri. He chuckled, looking up and freezing as their eyes locked. Bri smiled softly, swishing her tail slowly- she needed no answer. 'Imagine if someone were to approach you, and steal your thoughts? Your knowledge?' He whispered as he reached her side. Bri listened to his words, slightly amazed, as his eyes bore into hers, both of them locked in a deadly silent embrace. 'Your ear?' The stag reached up to nip her ear playfully, followed by a snide chuckle, 'Perhaps you'd like to be notified beforehand?' He asked, and she grabbed a strand of his mane, tugging softly and smirking herself.
'"What is your monicker, Miss?' The stallion asked, still watching her. "My name? Well, monsieur, must you know that?" Bri said, a light laugh escaping her lips as she swiftly circled him, stopping at his side and grasping his audits with her teeth, pulling at them softly, before she slipped ahead and looked at him again, her aqua eyes piercing, watching. She smiled softly. "If you must know, I am Brisè." Bri said, watching him as she swished her tail softly, her eyes still watching him closely.

"How can you expect me to refer to you if I do not know your name? Would you like me to call you 'dove'? 'Rita'? 'Missy'? I've more, if you'd like to hear them." Rhys smirked, a slight chuckle in his voice. She gave her name. "Brise". How pompous was that? Her mother must've been intolerable.
Rhys didn't mind. Tail was tail. Then again, those eyes... He didn't stop himself from staring. Perhaps it was a deeply-rooted jealousy founded on the fact that with all of his splendor, he had not been presented with such beautifully unnatural beacons of light. Rhys didn't think too hard on it, deciding to just enjoy the moment. He snorted, tossing his effulgent mass of mane to the other side of his royal neck. "Brise, you say? How pretty... I am Rhys."

Here we are again, I feel the chemicals kicking in… 'Brise, you say? How pretty... I am Rhys,' The stag said. Bri smiled, swishing her tail and touching her maw to his shoulder softly before pulling away. "Rhys, you say. Interesting, I must say, I really like your sous forme de paon' Bri said, her lips curving up in a small smile. It was true- she really was interested in his mutation.
She curved her form, twisting as she circled right next to him, their hides brushing as she smiled. She ran her maw down his spine and flawlessly pivoted in front of him, turning to face him with her piercing aqua eyes, watching for his reaction.

Rhys had heard other tongues before and this one was no stranger to him. In fact, it enticed him even more than before. He loved hearing different languages though he himself had no talent for them. At the same time, they frustrated him to no end because he wasn't sure exactly what others would say. He kept that part to himself and scoffed at her what he supposed was a compliment.
"If you're speakin' of my 'attributes'," he said with a swish of his feather-laden tail, "I must reply that I am happy to oblige." Rhys took the moment to step forward and tuck the side of his face into her neck, running his cheek across. By the looks of her own actions, he could tell she was up for anything. This one would be easy. Like all the others, she would be his...
OOC: Definitely lame. Finishing post to wrap it all up.
