Phanes birth haddn't been entirely easy for the first time mother. At first she was worried that he wouldn't come at all, being born so late into winter when she knew he should have come sooner. He certainly looked like his 'father' with the surprising black coat and green haze like effect on his stomach, the only thing to distinguish him as hers was his thickset build and the white spotting on his back and rump. All of that had happened a while ago, now the pair was traveling a bit to strengthen Phanes legs. Though he was already pretty strong, Thal traveled a great deal and wanted to be sure her son could handle such tasks.
Thal often thought about Skylar and she had 'produced' more foals like Phanes, or even if she cared about the young she made. Thal shook her head and laughed, of course she didn't that horse acted just like a stallion. Phanes looked at his mom with a smile and she nudged him gently," Come on dear, let's keep going." He looked grumpy but complied and trotted forward a pace or two.
