Theodora & Roxanne |
The lavender hued mare couldn’t help but laugh at her own child, watching her gangly daughter chasing fireflies and trying to fly at the same time. She knew Roxanne was in no danger to herself, so why stop her? Her bizarre, yet unique child was enjoying herself. Though Roxanne was not very old, for she was still much too young to begin forming words, Thea knew that she would never be able to deny her darling daughter anything...Much like how her own mother had been with her. The thought of Thea’s own mother brought a slight frown to her features, before it faded into laughter as Roxanne once again tried flying with her down covered wings, before flopping onto her stomach. Her striped legs were splayed out across the dark grass, a bewildered expression on her small face. It was hard not to laugh at such an expression.
Thea was a sight to behind herself, but she knew Roxanne was much more bizarre and unique than she was. The only things her daughter had seemed to have inherited was her stripes and golden eyes – everything else was just so...not Thea, or even Roxanne’s grandparents. Thea knew it was most likely a result of Roxanne’s “father”. Not that Thea cared ay; she was just blessed to have a happy, healthy daughter. Even in the dark, Roxanne was easy to detect. The filly’s rainbow colored stripes emitted a soft glow, casting a multicolored light in the small patch of open grass they had found in the woods. It was easy to keep track of her, but also posed a problem. Roxanne’s glow made her easy to spot from a distance, and who knew what creature would be drawn to such an enticing light...
