There would not be much time until snow fell, she could feel it in her bones, that slow restless feeling that came over her when she knew that the cold soon would sweep over the land like a blanket. That was why she had left the mainland, and come out here, to the more tropical islands. It was small here, or at least smaller than the mainland, but it was warmer, and filled with all the greens that she would need to survive without starving herself down until her ribs showed underneath the gleaming white coat. Shiya was a sight to behold, with her coat white as snow, with white, big wings that could carry her in the air, the diamonds glittering over her skin, the jade green eyes and the imense mane and tail. The tail dragged at least a couple of feet behind her, and her mane, although it was a little messy and hanging on her folded wings, it could reach almost down to her knees.
But there was more than that to her. The stripes and the glow of the wings was not yet showing, not in this light, it was still afternoon, but soon the sun would set on the horizon, bringing the world into darkness, with only the light of the moon and stars to guide them. The young, white mare shook her head slightly, making the mane ruffle around her, and she turned her gaze around her, to see whatever there was to see, but at the moment, everything seemed empty. Empty and boring. But alas, since she was hungry, she stopped on a patch of grass in a little clearing in the jungle, and she lowered her head and started to eat, just as calm as a unicorn in those fairytales, where the fair maiden got to see a serene unicorn in a meadow or clearing. That was Shiya right now, but instead of a horn, she had wings, and the diamonds scattered millions of small rainbows around her wherever light hit them.

Time had flown by seasons everchanging. Gone were the days of summer where the land thrived. Now it was autumm and soon, maybe too soon, snow would fall as winter claimed the world in its cold clutches. I had nothing again snow but I was a restless one favouring air to land and so I had used snow as an excuse to move on again. Only once before had I come to Hihiri but now hunger demanded that I once more set foot on its soil. Reluctantly I circled once before making the descent appily savouuring the feel of the wind brushing over my feathers while it lasted. Having had years of flying experience touch down caused now problems even with me having partialy landed in the shallows just for the fun of it sending spray everywhere. Three or four strides was all I needed to steady myself before my strides slowed settling down into a trot and then a walk. Half tucked in wings flexed spreading out again fully before folding in neatly to my sides.
Exhaling heavily through my noistrils briefly I allowed my gaze to wander a little. I doubted I would remain on the ground for too long. Come sunset I would once more take to the skies and rejoice in the spectecular natural event that matched my coat. Of course I had to catch the sent and sight of another in the distance. The young winged white mare was a bueaty and for a moment I couldnt help but stare for a moment lazily admiring every inch of her delicate form. Eventually I stopped simply staring and instead loosened a warm call my strides extending into a brisk trot.

The sudden breach of the quiet air around her startled her and made her push her wings out as if she would take off into the air, something that she would be able to do with just a few strides, with her light body. The horse that was approaching her was much bigger than herm but he also had similar features. He had wings, but a coat golde as a sunrise, or sunset, depending on how you wanted to see it. He wasn't the first peggy she had seen, on these islands, she had seen several, and a couple on the mainland too, but she hadn't really thought that one would so happily approach her like this, so she held her wings out a little from the body, which revealed that the diamonds scattering her skin, continued over the rest of the body too. Everywhere. Head, neck, legs, withers, the whole body, and it made her glimmer like stars. In the night she shone like the moon itself, with diamonds covering her skin like stars. He looked like the sun on a sunset. How fitting..
She didn't reply to his little greeting, but just stood still, watching him while the wind caught her mane and tail, and ruffled through the feathers of her wings, which she soon enough tucked in around the body again. She didn't knew him, but she was ready to run for it if he was foul in mind. She had some issues to trust big stallions, they made her nervous, and that's why she had had the instinct of running as soon as she had heard him.

His prescense and approach disturbed the young mare and the sight of her half spread wongs had dissapointment stirring. He did not want her to leave...not quite yet and possibly never if he could help it. As he drew closer her appearence became even more stunning. Everywhere on her delicate form diamonds were scattered across her skin. Like stars they shone illuminating her white coat whenever the light hit them at the right angle. It was a little weird how fitting their looks went together and as a result he couldn't help but stare a little. It was a shame he didn't get much of a response from her and he couldn't help but worry that she was going to run away. He hated the thought that she might his heart rebelling against the idea even though they had only just met.
With half the distance closed his strides become smaller as he settled into a walk not wishing to scare her. A soft reassuring nicker gained liberty before he came to a standstill warm molten gold orbs watching her carefully. "Greetings my lady." With the warm greeting having passed through his kissers his noble crown lowered into a half bow head twisting a litttle to make sure he did not catch her with his long ivory horn. "It is always a pleasure to meet another graced with wings like me. Can you fly?" Curiosity laced his words as he observed her with a slightly tilted head. He did not ask for her name yet simply to make sure she was a litttle more comfortable with him beign near her first.

Of course she was careful, with her light build and lack of experience with the life of a herd, she couldn't be too careful. She had never been in a herd, and to be around other horses was a bit odd for her, since she didn't exactly behave normal sometimes. She had a tick, or an OCD if you rather called it that, she always hade to be clean if it was possible. It wasn't that she was afraid of getting dirty or something, but if she had the opportunity, she would clean everything that was dirty, off from her body. Preferably in a bath, in a lake or something, but since she had arrived to this island, she had had to bathe in the ocean to get mud and such things out of hear coat, or letting the rain wash her off. She could sometime also be a bit bossy around friends or such, to get themselves to get clean. Those who couldn't stand that, weren't her friends.
This stallion was unfamiliar to her, yet he stepped up towards her and greeted her almost like he tried to be friendly. She wasn't sure she liked it, her suspicious mind still thinking that he might be someone who could hurt her. Especially when he had that scewer sticking out of his head. She wasn't far from just snorting at him before leaving the place, but alas, she stood her ground. "Yes I can." Was the only thing she said before she stretched out her snow white wings to show that she move them just fine, which gave a glimpse of the rest of her body, with all the diamonds, before she folded them in again.
