[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=403f3b] Lycia blinked her eyes, as light hit them. The morning light hitting her pelt. It wasn't often she slept in the open at night, watching the stars until she couldn't last longer. The mare slightly moved her back legs, letting her mess of her two tails separate from them slightly. Her dream was quite a happy one. And it made her wake up in a happy mood. The young mare opened her mouth to yawn, her mind doting on her recently turning three. It almost seemed like she was a little foal nursing on her Mom only weeks ago. Maybe it was the lack of conversation she kept up? She had barely seen horses in the years of her leaving Sage. The recent was that of the Stallion called Ver. She had to admit to herself; she grew rather fond of the Stallion. Maybe it was because he reminded her of her Dad somewhat. The Mare took a gulp of fresh air, and wondered why she had the slightest of nice thoughts about the Stallion. He had angered her greatly during their last meeting. But apparently not to the point in which she hated him. It was all too strange, and the gears in Lycia's brain kept going until her head felt coated in grease and felt numb.

Verdelet was returning from a short trip to the Lynx Mountains, in his eyes the trip had been successful. Though he hadn't found any mares, he had found a potential one. A little filly by the name of Priska, she had certainly been entertaining. He had expected to come home to the normal empty plains, but awhile back he had picked up a familiar scent and now he had his eyes the intruder.
Her back was to him so he contented himself just to watch her. It had been some time since he had last seen the graying mare, though he could remember times he swore he had smelt her around the plains. She had grown nicely since their last meeting and as he watched her he felt an unfamiliar tug at his heart.
He wanted her, not in the way he wanted to see blood or hear the screams of other horses, he just wanted to poke a little. Then a thought struck him, what of her father? He had so rudely interrupted last time and Ver wasn't willing to see him a second time. He wanted this mare to himself, for now at least. If the stallion showed up again Ver would just chase him off, this was Verdelet's home and he wasn't going to back down here.
Pushing those thoughts away he sauntered towards her and cooed gently," Well, well, what do we have here?" A sly grin played over his features as he reached her, this time he kept no distance from her and instead stood as close as possible. "I don't think we had a chance to talk last time, no matter your here now." He was almost purring with delight, he was going to have fun today.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=403f3b] Lycia made a point to grazing all through the day yesterday in the plains. She wanted to travel around today, and checkout things. And for the mere idea or thought of it excited her. Lycia froze up for a second, catching the steps of a hoof too late, caught up in her mind was what made her not notice them. Then the all familiar voice of the stallion she had thought about fondly rushed in through her ears. When she turned her head to look at him from her laying down position. He looked huge, and she felt like a bug for a moment; before getting up and yawing again; flicking her two tails against her haunch as she did so. She had to admit; his closeness this time was slightly annoying, and the feeling of prickles in her pelt made her slightly nervous. She nodded her head in a somewhat yes to his last words. As if saying, yes, of course I'm here. She wondered if he had realized if she was mute since their last meeting. He might have, but he had not expressed such words to the topic. It was a hard thought that the mare herself didn't know how to express either. How should she tell horses she couldn't even tell them her name? Surely her name had been tossed around when horses gossiped about the Lynx Mountains.

The smile never faded from Ver's twisted, scared face as he looked the smaller mare over with a look of near obsession. He didn't know exactly why he was so interested in her, honestly she was rather plain in his eyes, but she was the first one that he had seen twice; maybe that was it. He laughed lightly as she nodded," Silent as always." He was starting to really wonder if she was stubborn or she just couldn't talk. He was willing to bet it was the later, she didn't seem like one who didn't want to speak.
He let out a content sigh and went to rest his head on her back, though he wouldn't have blamed her if she decided not to let him. In fact he would enjoy it, he always liked it when they took initiative, when they thought for themselves." May I ask why you have been hanging around here? If I am correct you live in the mountains don't you?" He watched her closely, expecting her not to say a word.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=403f3b] She listened intently to the stallion, watching his face and body very closely. When he finally voiced out that he noticed she was quiet. She felt relief. Although she didn't think he'd found out about why she was quiet yet. She simply flicked her tails at the thought, it wasn't all that important really. Observing him, she realized he seemed to like to smile. In this kind of situation, she wasn't quite sure she should return it back. So she remained blank faced. Resting his head on her back sent prickles through her entire spine. Her mouth let out a hiss of air, showing her displeasure in such an action. Her mouth lightly nipping him in the neck. It wasn't meant to hurt him, it was a simple. 'Don't do that' kind of thing.' His next sentence was that of a question. She thought for a few moments, trying to figure a way on how to respond. It was a simple nod of a yes to both questions. She was stupid to even think she couldn't respond to that. Standing a bit aways from Ver. She looked up in the sky, seeing the mountains in the distance. She didn't really live anywhere in her mind. Although she was born and raised there, she liked to think she lived everywhere.
