The pale mare acceded the mountains slowly, altitude proving lightly difficult for a mare with excess baby weight. Fortunately for Galadriel, her baby weight was walking by itself. Step lightly, baby girl. There isn't much climb left. Her hooves dug into the rocky earth as they had so many times, but her attention was fully and undivided on the small, paler equine following her. It had been a week, at least, since the birth of Priska. Galadriel was sure no one had truly missed her in the royal grove. Perhaps the queen, in her new pregnancy had had a second thought about the whereabouts of her younger sister, but certainly no one had come to look.
Light and airy vocal cords called out into the grove. They also carried back to the ears of her tiny companion, pushing both mare and hopefully child into a canter, escaping the mountain's chill and approaching a family that wasn't entirely heart warming.
ooc: crap start.... but idk who all you want to bring into this? maybe just Priska? or annas... or i could have a quick glance from vic and then make it a momma baby thread.

The left side of her face nearly glued to her mother's barrel, the young filly obediently followed her lead, eager to meet her family. She knew of her father but she had never seen him just yet. The concept was foreign, since all she knew was her mother's coo and touch. Her small, puffy tail raised and bounced as she climbed, her footing often awkward and uncontrolled, sending her this way and that. Priska didn't know what to expect upon meeting her family but her mother was so kind; why wouldn't they be? Priska was not frightened to meet the rest of her herd.
"Ma?" she uttered quietly and with no question in mind. The utterance was simply an act of reassurance that her mother was still with her. Priska buried her nose into Galadriel's shoulder for a moment as she followed her lead, ready to meet the family and subsequently also the mountain's royal family.

The deep call of the stallion called Caiaphas came over the peak of the hill as Galadriel finished her climb. She'd never quite gotten along with her power hungry, half-brother, and for a brief moment she stopped where she was standing and felt her ears lay back against her skull. A light nudge aimed at Priska's shoulder made the mare feel safer about the whole thing. The little filly couldn't possibly get closer to the mare if she tried.
Caiaphas! Hissed the black queen from a distance. She was thicker then she had been when Driel left, and her movements were that of a waddle as she approached the paused body of their brother. The queen would address the child first, her niece. Galadriel dipped her head to her sister, lifting her ears and smiling a bit as the pregnant queen got closer. Caiaphas stood, curious, but sulking nonetheless, in the distance. His gaze didn't waver off of the pale filly at his sister's side, but he knew better then to approach the two extremely hormonal mares. Victoria waited no time sticking her nose in Priska's face; she was not exactly the loving, mothering type after all. The child was healthy, and strong. She looks like me. Beamed her proud mother. It was a big deal to Galadriel that her child was of a light color. She'd spent her entire life with a family of darker decent, her mother, who'd abandoned her as quickly as possible, was the only light equine Driel had known besides Annas.
She looks like you both. Victoria said, thinking of the king she ruled with. A gentle nudge to her sister's cheek and one last look at the baby was enough for the queen for now, she quickly returned to grazing, trying to feed her growing stomach.

She could feel that her mother knew the mare and quite well by the looks of their touch. The other was a distance away but Priska could tell he was huge. There was perhaps a bit more hostility between him and her mother; it was all very closely-knit and yet loose as well. It would take some time for the pale filly to understand what was really going on in the mountain herd.
A bit confused and slightly frightened, the filly continued to press herself into her mother's shoulder, unwilling to tear the bond. Her big, amber eyes flickered back and forth between the two dark horses. There was no way either of them was her "father". She knew something would click once she caught sight of him and it simply hadn't happened yet.
OOC: I'll bring in annas in my next post! <3 Forgive the shortness!

Galadriel watched her sister turn and return to grazing, the black mare's stomach moving as her's had not too long ago. She smiled lightly, gazing back down to Priska and nudging the filly who was now plastered to her side. Quickly, and without hesitation, Galadriel began to replace herself and her position in the herd. She eye'd the big beast she called her brother. His gaze had not wavered away from the new child, and this, along with the stallions history with children, caused the new mother some anxiety. Nevertheless, the mare quickly trotted towards him, her head and eyes aimed to keep him in his place and wait for her approach. He did so, but with an antsy anticipation that made him look quite silly. His bulk along with the little dance was quite a site to see and Galadriel wanted ever so much to return her gaze to the child, just to see her expression as they approached. But Driel kept her eyes pierced upon Caiaphas' skull.
Don't touch her. You are too big, you lug. Her words carried a slight hostility, only to keep him at bay, but mostly the were tinted with humor. She knew he wouldn't hurt his niece, but his emotional attachment was certain to be questioned by everyone in the family. Galadriel knew he'd have no contact whatsoever with Victotia's foal if she had a say.
Priska, Caiaphas. Caiaphas, Priska. The black stud lowered his head to the child's level, but made sure not to approach her in any way. Ba-a-a-bay! Cawed the wretched voice of Pilate from overhead. Baby girl is pretty, quite. Galadriel said nothing, but eye'd the family friend with a sharp warning glance. There was nothing she would be able to do about the birds obsessive nature. He was going to be in Priska's life, whether she liked it or not.
ooc: don't worry about length... the only reason mine have some length is because i have four characters counting Pilate. XD which by the way.... Pilate is going to have an obsession with Priska's singing. He just decided. cause ya know. raven's can't sing. xDDDDD

PRISKA. Priska eyed the stallion with caution as he neared her. Her face showed worry but intrigue at the same time. The white ring circling his features centered her attention on his forehead until the bird spoke. Priska's jaw dropped a little at the compliment from the winged creature. She wasn't too familiar with birds and this one's voice frightened her a bit. It's rasp was unpleasant, to say the least. The filly truly appreciated the clear, ringing tone of her mother's voice, a calming sound to her young ears. How this 'Caiaphas' could live alongside such a wretched sound was beyond her. The filly whinnied in greeting, a piercingly high note escaping her throat. Her range was larger than most and centered at a high pitch.
ANNAS. Annas never would have expected to have a family. It was never on his agenda. With the introduction of Victoria and Galadriel, Annas' life changed forever. Now he had the burden of children in his life. Then again, as the Mother commanded, it was the duty of a King to multiply; it was the King's and only the King's. The reproduction of lower stallions was not to be permitted, save for those given the permission to do so. He had not expressed such permission to Caiaphas, but his little incident had happened before Annas assumed the throne.
The bald, scowling stallion entered the rather bittersweet scene to find his Queen plump with child and the insolent-but-irresistible Galadriel protecting her foal from Caiaphas and Pilate. It did not please Annas to have his progeny, but instead satisfied him. The Mother had expressly told him it made her glad, and that was all that mattered.
OOC: Sorry it's so late and lame! I haven't written for Annas in a long time. D:
