Today was all gloom, heavy storm clouds hanging damply in the air making it thick and hot. Sounded like a good time for a dip to Bez. When he got to Shearwater Cove though he found too many things that begged to be looked at. Some were tidal pools full of eye catching sea critters, some were seagulls dipping into the sea for a mid day snack. But the most intriguing was the carcass of... well something, Bez couldn't see it under all the animals that coveted its flesh and tender organs.
Something he resented of his mother for was that she had never taught him enough, he yearned to know everything about this world and yet he knew almost nothing. He had had to teach himself, which honestly wasn't a bad thing. Bez moved over to the circling hoard of gulls with sure easy steps. He wasn't afraid of death or what happened when your body surrendered to the beasts that needed it. Though the smell was something he could live without. When the birds saw him coming they flew off, shouting angrily at him.
When he saw what they had been munching on his heart sank. It was the body of a foal, probably stillborn, he couldn't even see what the foal would have looked like. He couldn't take the sight any more and turned away," Goodbye small one, let you rest now."

Sitka Sitka was wandering the black beaches of Tangaroa; just to find nothing, she'd come over here for a sense of finding something new. She knew Kakuhura like the sun knew the earth. But Tangaroa. It was a mightily new place. The mare was walking across the black sand, it was a interesting new sight for her. She was watching and seeing all the new sights as if she was a newborn foal exploring. It was no later that she saw a Stallion wandering about. "Hello there!" She called out to the yellow stallion. She trotted up quickly to him. A friendly expression upon her face. "Fancy meeting you here!" Without the Stallion even responding, she was already being friendly, not matter what mood the horse was in. "I'm Sitka! It's a pleasure to be meeting you!" She bowed her head a little towards the horse, only to get a sickening smell in her nostrils. Near him was the body of a foal.
