Sitka took a step into a tide pool. Her mane was tangled from drying, in fact. She looked quite like a rag-doll she thought. She stared down at the pool, the water. The life below her was busy with the things they usually did. But today she was looking around for something certain. But hadn't found it all day. Crabs, she hadn’t seen one in ages, and it was starting to worry her. Most of the time she found them wandering behind her hind legs, trying to snap at the end of her tail that touched ground, and most of the time the water. She looked up from the pool and stared at the mainland. The sand dunes seemingly reaching up and spreading to a forest, a plain, mountains. It hadn’t been that long she left the mainland for the islands, about a few months if she recalled. In fact, it was nice to be back on the islands. She popped out of her head for a moment realizing that she had forgotten about the crabs. She looked down in the water, jumping when she felt a small nab on her tail. She bolted from the tide pool and onto the beach seeing the disrupted water moving in ripples from the flying crab and her run. She seemed to laugh loudly, her laughter filling the whole beach

And though there's pain in my chest, I still wish you the best, with a Forget You.... Risquè sniffed at the crystal tide pool, exhaling and causing tiny ripples to cascade from below his maw. He silently stuck his maw in the cool water, yet he didn't drink. He snapped his head up, causing the water to arch over him and land upon his back. He swished his tail, watching the small creatures frolic beneath the thin barrier where water met air. Risk's audits flicked to the side when a loud abrupt splashing came from less then 20 yards away. He perked his head, was another horse here? He stood taller, loping gracefully forward towards the newcomer. He slowed as he caught sight of a blue roan mare, the same color with rabicano markings. Her legs were wet and she stopped short of the tide pool. She must of been playing around in there.
Risk whickered softly, catching her attention. "Hello. I am Risquè, ruler of Kahukura, but call me Ris-" Risk stopped, as his eyes caught sight of her form, scanning her. "Sitka? W-what are you doing here?" Risk asked, caught off guard by seeing his old, only childhood friend. He flicked his ears forward, watching her curiously. When had she arrived upon the islands? He had not seen her in a few years, since he was a yearling himself, as he last remembered.
"I can't believe it's you!" Risk exclaimed happily, snorting and walking forward, tapping his maw against her shoulder before stepping back again. "It's great to see you again. Really great." He said, smiling at her softly. Well, he had his first herd member. He knew it wouldn't be long before others followed her choice to join him on Kahukura.

Sitka's ears snapped forward, she turned her head as he started the natural greeting of a.... She blinked. Risk?! She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. The idea of looking for crabs simply flew out through her ears. She swished her tail quickly to make sure the crab wasn’t there, she knew it wasn’t, but just to make sure. "I-I." She paused. "It’s good to see you again too." She couldn’t help but smile, but the look of surprise didn’t leave her face yet. He had grown remarkably fast from the last time she had seen him, in fact. She couldn’t help but just stare; she hadn’t seen him for a couple years, and he had grown. Wow, had he grown. She compared the image of him as a yearling to now. It's quite true, if you didn’t see someone for years. She was about to say something about his coat, or about how he had grown, but someone the sentence seemed to jumble up in her mind, but another thought just blurted out of her mouth "Wait... You own this?" She was surprised, somehow she had thought of him as just a Protector, but for some reason, he decided that he should just beat her standards. She wondered what had happened to the Boss after she had left, she clearly didn’t see any remains of any horses. She tried to be very observant for once. He didn’t seem to have any battle scars. He actually seemed quite, fresh. It seemed he had just become the Boss, but then she lost her observant little moment. Duh Sitka, you’re not observant! That’s why the crabs always pinch at your tail when you’re not looking! She left that thought through. It was good to see Risk, after all of these years of not seeing him.

If you leave me baby, Leave some morphine at my door.... 'I-I- It's good to see you again too,' Sitka said, pausing slightly and running her eyes over his tall form. He smiled, nudging her softly as she stood there, rooted in place. He laughed softly, his brown eyes held a soft twinkle as he remembered his childhood times with her. 'Wait... You own this?' She asked, pulled out of her trance, pondering over thoughts. Risk laughed again, "Why yes, I do. The Boss, the Alpha, the King. It.. feels good. For once. Though your the only other horse I've seen on Kahukura, but there will be more soon enough." Risk said, nodding and curling his neck. He admired her blue roan coat that matched his so well, and the spray of white across her barrel from rabicano. He smiled, nuzzling her cheek softly.
"So.. what have you been up to these past years? Anything particularly new?" Risk asked, chuckling slightly at his joke. He swished his long blonde tail, before moving up next to Sitka and running his maw along her neck and spine in slow, soft touches. He inhaled her scent, enjoying it, shivering slightly. It teased his instincts, he was like any other stag, but he just met up with her. He would not unless she wanted a foal. He smiled, slipping around her, circling her playfully and nipping at her forelock playfully. "I've... I've missed you. I truly have." Risk admitted, whickering softly and resting his maw against hers briefly.

"Why yes, I do. The Boss, the Alpha, the King. It.. feels good. For once. Though your the only other horse I've seen on Kahukura, but there will be more soon enough." She seemed to smile at that, her ears flickered back and forth as she caught a sound of a bird tweeting softly to something, Most likely towards a female bird, since it is spring. "So.. what have you been up to these past years? Anything particularly new?" She pondered that for a moment. “Nothing at all really, the mainland was such a bore through, and I just decided to come back to the island.” She looked around for a moment. “It’s so nice to be back now through.” She felt him run his maw down her neck and spine, she shivered slightly. She let his scent run through her nose. She felt a tingle of wonder fill through her mind, one that nipped at her brain slowly. When he nipped at her forelock, she nudged him playfully, nipping at his mane pulling a little then letting go, a small nicker like laugh followed "I've... I've missed you. I truly have." She stood there, quietly, the waves brushing up against the sound in the back-round. “You have no idea how long I’ve missed you too.” She hadn’t seen Risk since her Damn and she swam off to the mainland when she was younger. She dearly thought about her young days on the island often on the mainland. It often cheered her up when she was gloomy. By the time she had swam up on this shore a few months ago, she thought she could never feel gloomy again.

Your gonna catch a cold, From the ice inside your soul.... 'Nothing at all really, the mainland was such a bore through, and I just decided to come back to the island. It’s so nice to be back now though.' Sitka said, shivering slightly as ran his maw down her, and she swished her tail, releasing more of her scent. Risk paused, restraining himself. 'You have no idea how long I’ve missed you too,' she said softly, nipping at his mane. He smiled and roused her audits, nipping at them and pulling lightly. He laughed softly, nosing her cheek. "This reminds me of my childhood, how you were my only friend. It's really nice to see you again." Risk said, biting his lip slightly. His orbs scanned her again, over a few years she had changed a lot.
Her coat gleamed in the soft sunlight, matching his almost perfectly, except that she had rabicano and he had sabino markings. He inhaled, closing his eyes and resting his forehead against hers. Was he, falling for her? He... was. He liked his old childhood friend, he was attracted to her. Yet, he was only a stallion. It was his instinct. "Sitka... I- I need to tell you something." Risk said, pausing and looking at the sea. "I- I really like you." Risk said awkwardly, watching for her reaction.

‘This reminds me of my childhood, how you were my only friend. It's really nice to see you again.’ Sitka let her mind wander over into her time on the island when she was younger. She remembered running on the beach with Risk. It must be the reason why she came back. She couldn’t clearly describe why she felt the need to come back to the island. Maybe she was lonely, perhaps she missed the tide pools; She missed Risk too. She broke from her thoughts, seeing Risk look over her. She was about to ask him why he was looking at her, when he said. ‘Sitka... I- I need to tell you something.’ She anticipated his answer; and nodded as if saying go on, since he had paused looking at the sea. ‘I- I really like you.’ She froze up. “You-u like me?” She let her body relax. And she felt her jaw tingle like she had eaten sweet grass. Excitement seemed to hit her. She noticed how he was acting, he was being awkward. So she confirmed that what he said was true. “I-I” The tingle in her jaw was more noticeable to her. She also noticed that she was beginning to act awkward. “Me too, if you didn’t happen to notice.” She paused. “I’ve liked you since I was a foal.” And maybe a little bit before life, she thought to herself.
