Dolie had her work cut out for her.
As if being pregnant hadn't been enough trouble, now she had two bundles of joy to care for. Upon their birth, the pink pegasus had been alone on Hihiri, previously unwilling to travel in her state. Her wings hadn't been properly used in flight since she'd realized she'd be eating for two. Or, rather, three. There had been no way to know she was having more than one!
She hadn't seen Mako in a long while since the stallion had gone off to Tangaroa after their meeting. The new mother held no grudges; she knew he'd come back. Whether it was smart to put such trust into a stallion she'd only met briefly was another matter entirely.
The coral red mare stood happily beside the waterfall today as she'd brought her two beautiful children with her to sleep behind the cascades. Her son stood quietly beside her, seeming trying to see through the water without moving from his spot. His coat was of a darker shade than his mother or sister, more resembling his father's. It was a dark and lustrous maroon for the most part, his small extra limbs covered in soft dark down. His yellow head was what was so iconic about him. He bore the eyes of his mother. Dolie was quite proud of him. Rika, on the other hand, had colors of a similar brightness to her mother's. Dolie couldn't have imagined more gorgeous children. She was happy to have given them their lives. She couldn't wait to teach them to fly.
OOC: Just getting back into the swing of posting. I apologize.

Things had seemed to only fly by him in a flurry of days. He had rushed to Tangaroa what only seemed like days ago, to issue his challenge to the king who controlled both islands. The thought of how that conversation went still left a sour taste in his mouth. Risque was a fool to think he could keep both islands for his family and nothing terrible would happen. He was clearly ignoring what the elders of every generation had passed on.
He had returned to Hihiri full of disgust and contempt; emotions he had not felt in a very long time. It seemed, however, time had slipped away from him again. There had been a shift; a disturbance that at first alarmed him greatly. He could not find Dolie at first, and fear gripped him. Had he lost his second chance?
With panic driving him, the deep purple pegasus searched the small island high and low. Mako was nothing but a flurry of wings and feathers, desperate to find the young mare. He had been careless and had stayed away too long. A myriad of scenarios ran throw his mind, each one more worrisome than the previous. His ears strained for any sounds that didn’t seem to belong on the island, but all he could hear was the distant sound of the waterfall. Disheartened, he altered his path towards it. “Dolie?” he called, his gravelly voice heavy with worry. “Dolie, where are you?”
