Thoreau wants you!

SO I finally bought my big ol' lovable mutant, Thoreau, and now he needs to meet people. The problem? He doesn't want to. xD Thor is ashamed of his mutations - a purple coat with dark purple zebra stripes - and tries to avoid contact with other equines at all costs. He has it in his head that if he were to draw attention to himself or been seen by other equines he would be attacked and killed or at the very least harassed and hunted the rest of his days. Needless to say, he's not the most trusting fella. He also hates extremely forward horses, or those that flaunt themselves or brag. His out of sight, out of mind lifestyle is so deeply ingrained that the idea of putting yourself on display is extremely offensive to him and he sees that kind of behavior as a threat to his safety.

SO i don't really see him having friends, but if you think you've got a horse who's up the challenge let me know xD

BUT.

HE NEEDS A LADY.

I think it could go one of two ways.

Either he stumbles across some mare and just falls head over heels -for this she'd have to be pretty laid back and soft spoken- could be added drama if she was already a member of a herd because to get her, he'd have to steal her or fight for her, which doesn't really help with the whole 'low profile' thing he's trying to maintain.

OR

Some overly energetic mare fixates on him because of his color and follows him around until he gives in xD He would initially hate that and probably be pretty mean to her at first >.>


Once that first mare is out of the way I could defiantly see him assembling a small band of mares, but he'd probably be like a worried old hen with them, always running them around to avoid "danger" and kind of hoarding them away from the rest of the homeland.

That's what I've got, but if you have any other ideas, feel free to pitch them.

I has a want to have him meet Mezza. She'll be leaving the Mountains come the Fall/Winter time (and she's preggo with a stillborn) so maybe they could meet and stuff? As far as love goes, she's gonna have a pretty complex love-life (in love with Budik, but she can't stand the cold so she leaves for the cold season when he goes hog wild and knocks around with other mares) so idk what I can offer as far as that BUT that would allow you the option to potentially steal her... ;D And she's just a really nice lady, in general. xD

xDD I could see him disliking Budik and painting himself as her knight in shining armor, convincing himself that he HAS to save her from Budik's villainy

I could bring in my new mare, Brisè, she is a Seal Brown Sabino Minimal Rabicano with a bunch of markings (natural.) Her only mutations are her oddly colored eyes, and I was thinking of her as a sweet, shy mare who loves to help people :3

I could bring in my mare Kailani, or Sharifa in here. Kailani is a relaxed and humble mare, very sweet and kind. While Sharifa is very passionate and has a fiery temper which is always out in the open (:

SO LAV AND PADDEH. I'm pretty sure I've got his leading lady, well BUT He could definitely take on a couple herd members a bit later on and give pretty babies :3 ALSO if somebody got really attached to him, that could make for some drama because i think eventually he might disband and feel guilty about not giving himself fully to his mares. What would you guys like?

It really depends on what you'd like. Sharifa'd rather not join a herd, but if Kailani really likes him, she'd stay with him ^^
