The troop of royals in the mountains were all quite strange, Caiaphas himself being almost like a partner to the strange, bald king. She'd never actually seen the new king, but she'd heard of his lack of a mane. The dark queen and her pale sister looked nothing alike, just like the two males. Eleazar didn't know why Caiaphas had taken her to them; she stayed in the vicinity but tried not to make her presence known too much. They did live in the most hospitable part of the mountains and as spring began to whisper into the homelands, she knew winter would be gone soon and green would return. It would be in her best interest to stay.
The almost-mare found herself alone today, as she so often did. She browsed rather unsuccessfully in her favorite grove a bit away from the royals she knew. She half expected Pilate's voice to sneak up on her, but tried not to. Eleazar never could quite understand what the black bird spoke of, so it was ideal when she didn't have to strain herself to muddle through his words. Crunching on what dead roots lie closest to the surface, Eleazar continued to scrape her hoof along to the top of the ground, searching for as much nourishment as possible.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » The snowfall of winter, although never truly mild, was quieting down finally and spring was just a blink away. Pilate was flying off more and more often, and Caiaphas often found himself alone for longer segments of time, a rarity since the first meeting of the unlikely pair. The black, feather footed stallion was alone today, scraping his nose across the melting snow blanketing the ground of the northern kingdom; his sister's kingdom.
» A light snort escaped him as he caught the familiar scent of the golden hued filly who was trapped in the mess of the royal family. She still didn't know better, hell, Caiaphas had yet to learn if Annas knew. One thing was for sure, Caiaphas trusted the raven's words. If anyone was to know of the fillies linage, Pilate would know. Gossip was Pilate's life. He lived and breathed it every day. The bright light of an ever rising sun shone through the mountains onto the area where the stallion stood, blinding him momentarily as the ray's bounced off of the snow and into his chocolate colored eyes.
» He lowered his head once more to Precious' scent, deciding which way she went he rose his gaze and tested the air, his lip curling up to the winter chill. She was close and no one else was around. Curious, as always lately, Caiaphas trotted off in her direction. He hoped Pilate would stay out of this conversation.
OOC: muahahaha do the creep. xDDDD

They were heavy, probably Caiaphas'. Better than any of the others, she supposed silently. Eleazar couldn't understand her place here. She didn't know what it was she was meant to do - her purpose. Perhaps Caiaphas had an idea if he had taken it upon himself to bring her to this place.
The golden female stood motionless as she waited for his approach, her mouth sealed shut until he asked anything. Grea had always taught her only to speak when spoken to, one of the few skills that remained with Eleazar. She saw no sign of the raven as the black form came into view, her eyes drawn to the white ring surrounding his features and the white spot covering one knee. Looking past her growing horns, Eleazar silently welcomed Caiaphas into her grove with a bowing of her head.
OOC: I WAS SOOOO LISTENING TO THAT WHILE I READ -t rexes-

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » As a male, and a tall male at that, Caiaphas had always had the power in situations. It was scary when he didn't. Lycia had the upper hand in their conversations. If Caiaphas had the courage to seek out the young mare's mother, Sage would surely have the power as well. They were both linked to a very intimate part of his being, a part that was seldom touched in the black beast's lifetime.
» His approach today was slow, not awkward but odd nonetheless. The golden mare with a spiked head had grown substantually since he'd brought her to the royal court. Annas made no effort towards the mare, proving he didn't know of Precious' lineage. Caiaphas' had kept his mouth shut as well, the deadly secret giving him a slight empowerment in the situation he found himself falling shorter and shorter in. Good day, Precious. How are you? He dipped his head in return, eying her carefully as he stopped and lowered his head. She had taken hold of something un-wantingly familiar in Caiaphas. She was interesting.
OOC: is un-wantingly a word. I think not. OOPS.

Her eyes shot up toward him; she had never really been sure what to call him so she stuck with his name for now. If it had been more proper to say "sir" or "lord" or whatever, the black beast seemed the type to correct her. Eleazar appreciated his company more and more with each meeting, especially when the bird wasn't along. Then again, the bird made things quite interesting sometimes - never knew what was going to come out of his beak.
Eleazar lifted her head again. The young mare had almost grown to her full height by now but such a height would still pale in comparison to the monster that stood before her. What did he hope to gain by having her around? It was a curious situation they were in but one that she didn't mind going along for the ride about.
OOC: Seems to be a trend that Eleazar posts are short.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » The small mare was just that, small. For this reason alone, Caiaphas didn't know what to do or say around her. His massive chest and long legs caused him to tower over her easily. He was careful near her, and he never fully closed his approach. He acted the way he acted near Lycia, extremely careful. It was funny to watch the stallion walk on egg shells.
» Curiosity stole his expression, as he tilted his head. The yellow mare was also quiet, her words meaningful and only used when necessary. All Caiaphas wanted was to know her, to get inside her head. Did she know Annas was her father? Did she like Annas? Did she like him? Did she like where he'd brought her? So many questions and still he bit his tongue in her presence.
OOC: Awkward silence. xD
