Where was the last place her mother would look for her? Right where she'd left her, she supposed. It was a common conclusion, a mistake that could only be made by one of her age. The young tricorn reached the hot springs at long last, taking in the heat's relaxing mist as she approached them. Grea had never brought her to this place. She'd only heard of it through the stories of the birds. It sounded calming.
The filly found her way to the blue pool and was entranced by the deeper, darker waters she saw closer to the middle. The waters toward the middle bubbled slightly, as if the earth itself was expelling water so hot that it would burn her golden champagne skin. The concerned filly decided not to venture in, but to simply be content with the warm air around her. The orange scene was complimented by the blue pool and Eleazar found her place under a spruce tree downwind of the spring. She looked around at where she'd lay and nudged a few piles of needles out of her way. Laying her frame down, she took a yawn and focused her attention of the sounds of the hot spring.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » Caiaphas stood still and silent with his brown eyes staring out into his steamy surroundings. His lungs had cleared and he was breathing easily now, but his mind remained as foggy as the air around him. Pilate cawed quietly overhead. The raven had kept his distance since their meeting with Victoria, and rightly so after he'd spilled his guts to the viper of a mare. A deep sigh escaped the stallions lungs as he thought.
» Caiaphas had resided under his sisters reign before; this wasn't what he was overly concerned about. Annas, his comrade, had apparently had an encounter with the power propelled mare. Although he didn't know exactly how the meeting had gone, Victoria's statement had sent a bad chill through his bones. Annas was fully capable of being king and Victoria had already been queen. The powerful duet would surely bring order across the land.
» Precious master. She is precious. Came a joyous call from his black feathered friend. Master's friend's kin. He lowered himself on his branch before flying off into the mist. Pilate had obviously seen something that evaded Caiaphas' eyesight. But kin? Caiaphas quickly moved his large, coldblooded feet to follow his friend.

Those of the avian race were generally not hostile toward equines. The filly (who fancied herself a full-grown mare) made no move to better hear the bird but instead stayed put. He was clearly speaking to someone else. That somebody sounded like he or she must be big, by the sound of the hooves hitting the ground at that distance away.
The hoofbeats got louder as the horse seemed to approach. Eleazar quickly decided to try and hide amongst her surroundings. Dead pine needles lay all around her, all the same hue as her dark gold coat. It was possible that with a frame as small as hers at that age and with her coat so well camouflaged, he wouldn't find her. She could see the black beast hurrying through the woods, a similarly-colored bird leading the way. Depending on blending in, Eleazar held her breath so as not to make any movements that would draw him to her. Then again, he wasn't her mother. It wasn't the worst-case scenario.
OOC: Not much to say just yet :/

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » The mist swirled around Caiaphas as he moved, creating a ghostly affect as he approached the intruder. The bird's eyesight had proven to be better then the equines before, but today, even though the small body was hidden upon the ground, Caiaphas spotted it before he was close enough to touch it. Awaken! He summoned his deepest voice and let it shake as it passed over his vocal cords. Caiaphas looked scary, but obviously, considering his last family meeting, he lacked evil bellow the surface. The seemed to be a way of proving himself, no matter how small the body was.
» The smokey stallion was tempted to reach out to the body for a few moments, his fear of those who where small dying as he got used to the idea of Lycia. This was definitely a filly, if not that it was an extremely deformed mare. He tilted his head as if it would allow him to see her better. She did blend quite well with the earth. I said get up. His voice had died down a bit, his will to prove himself dwindling as the moments passed. Victoria wasn't watching.
» Pilate's wings brushed against Caiaphas as he landed inches away from the child's nose. You are his daughter, hey, Annas' daughter you are? The quizzical bird tilted his head this way and that hopping around her face as he studied. Caiaphas took a few steps back as he thought about what the bird was saying. You are! You are! Pilate exclaimed. Precious! He hopped onto her nose briefly before returning to his tree, feeling redeemed from his wrong doings. Pilate smiled the equivalent of a bird smile, looking down to his master without fear.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=height,404,true][atrb=float,left,true][cs=2][atrb=style, background:url(http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h411/saltyskin/elatable.png); padding: 5px; border: 0px solid #ffffff;] Eleazar made no more effort to blend than just remaining still as she saw the black stallion make his way closer and closer. She felt no fear nor curiosity. The whole situation sent her into an oblivious stupor, as if it were all a meaningless dream. Eleazar didn't know the proper way to react. Her fight or flight instinct was so underdeveloped that it left her speechless and still, merely following the black bird and equine with her young eyes.
The stranger commanded her to rise. His voice was foreign and deep, bellowing through her eardrums like a brewing storm above a quiet grove of apple trees ready to bloom. She looked up at his white ring on his face, her eyes following the track around his features. Again his command rang through her thoughts. One ear perked as Eleazar processed his words. They reminded her of Grea's, cold and unbending. He wanted something from her and she'd yet to oblige. Before she had the mind to do as he commanded, the black bird from before landed near her, squawking about this and that, calling her the daughter of Annas, whoever that was. No doubt some avian jargon she knew nothing about. She blinked a few times at the tar-colored animal, unsure of her place beside him. Before she knew it, he'd hopped onto her nose and flown away, calling her a name she'd never heard before. Dumb bird.
Eleazar again looked up to the stallion, not wanting to keep him waiting any longer. Eleazar knew no more than following orders; at least they weren't her mother's. The filly stood, her long legs paling in comparison with this beast's. Her three horns pointed toward the sky and her tiny teeth pointed towards the earth, Eleazar fit perfectly in the middle as she watched the stallion for her next directions.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » Precious! The raven continued to cackle from his tree. Caiaphas stood dumbfounded once again, the child standing as he'd asked and starring right back at him. Lycia had done this when Caiaphas had approached his daughter. Both fillies had not been frightened of his size nor his beastly voice, as most equines tended to be. The children, small and vulnerable, had stood still and looked straight up to the big lug with nothing but listening ears.
» Precious it is. Caiaphas murmured, mostly to himself although he didn't try to hide his words from the small child. Where is your mother, Precious? Caiaphas knew better then to touch her without her mother's consent. His sister's recent meeting, or assault as he saw it, had left him acutely aware of just how powerful the female sex could be. Pilate cackled above to himself, laughing occasionally and even briefly asking if she was "alone, oh so alone".
» Hush, Pilate. Caiaphas boomed. You know of her. Where is her mother? The black stallion returned his gaze skyward, a threatening look returning to his eyes. Pilate doesn't know master. Doesn't know who Precious' mother is. The bird cowered against the branch he was perched upon, even though he was far above Caiaphas' reach. And Annas? What does he know of this. The threat had lowered in his voice. I do not know master. Pilate swooped down to his master, fearful but trusting his friend, and landed gracefully just between his ears. Both pairs of eyes stared down to the filly waiting for an answer.

She heard their words and processed them easily, the dark timbre of the equine's voice almost comforting; it resembled her mother's, only decidedly more masculine. "My mother?" Eleazar knew it wouldn't be wise to reveal Grea, lest she return to reclaim her daughter. The paranoia itself was stressful enough. "I don't have one." Eleazar made the declaration, denouncing Grea for ever having given birth to her in the first place.
"'Precious'? Why do you call me that?" The filly asked with a soft tilt of her head, her glassy eyes watching the black beast's with a small tremor of fear. She'd never heard the word, but it didn't sound malicious. She didn't know what this stallion's intentions were or why he traveled with such a garish creature, but she supposed she'd wait it out.
The filly flicked her ear once at the bird's voice; who was Annas? These two were so foreign to her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » Caiaphas looked back down to the mutant filly with a furrowed brow. He was thinking, and thinking very hard for that matter. This was all quite puzzling. The black stallion thought back to the months before when he'd stumbled upon Sage and Lycia. His daughter had two tails, but the abnormality was hardly noticeable compared to the sharp protrusions coming from this little filly. They looked like they hurt. No mother? Who didn't have a mother? Well, Galadriel didn't technically have a mother. Caiaphas' brain began to hurt as his thoughts churned faster and faster. Victoria had raised their half sister since she was old enough to be weaned.
» Precious! Cawed Pilate, his feathers ruffling with excitement as he flew down from his perch atop Caiaphas. Precious is just a name that I've given you, we've given you. He stated matter of factually. He didn't want to make it into what it was. He didn't want to admit that he cared that this filly was on her own without a mother. He glared at Pilate as the bird smiled up at him, and the bird hopped away a few steps. I have a daughter about you age, Precious. He continued, his head lowering and his voice warming. Her name is Lycia.
OOC: derp derp. idk what else to say xD this happened before Annas became King.

It was as if a brute of his stature could not comprehend the situation at hand, but what was the situation? Who was "Annas"? Eleazar remained as puzzled as this black beast. The bird, on the other hand, seemed quite content with his level of information.
"My name is Eleazar," she said simply and with some firmness, still unsure about what "precious" could mean. It certainly had never been used when she had been growing up.To prevent herself from being called something that could very well have a negative context, she revealed the name the dreaded Grea bestowed upon her sorry hide. In truth, she didn't mind the name; it sounded regal, deserving. In the deep recesses of her very troubled mind lay a filly who knew she was important. Eleazar wasn't sure what it was, but she knew she was meant for something - something better than what she was offered in her mother's "care".
The filly did not want to offend anyone, suddenly regretting the urgency in her tone upon saying her name aloud. "I'd love to meet her," she said, with a sweeter, more accepting undertone this time and a bit of a smile to accompany it.
OOC: Thought that might be a good segue for cai to take her back with him? One more reply and I think we're good to start another one. As you said, this one's a bit behind the times. xD

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » Then you'll come with me? His question was a question, but the tone at which it left him was somewhat more commanding then anything. She was pretty and he felt obliged to watch over her until help arrived. Perhaps Galadriel could take the golden hued filly under her wing. Nonetheless someone needed to keep an eye on her until winter was through, and Caiaphas needed to find Lycia in the meantime. He wanted to get to the bottom of this all and he wanted to get there now.
OOC: done. i did post that one thread with just galadriel but i think thats the only one we still have going with our little minions.
