Merrilyn
Walking along in the woods, the golden woods, was wonderful at this time of the year. it was all golden, and the leaves that fell to the ground made it look like one was walking on gold. She almost laughed a little to herself at the thought, before shaking her head slightly. Her rose grey coat made a really nice contrast against the autumn colors, and her dark green eyes reminded of the luscious green that the leaves had once been. She wasn't aware of the fact that she soon was going to meet someone that would probably change her course of life.

The mare's unfamiliar color had been what attracted him to her; not to mention the fact that she was a mare in general. Rhys had been cursed with the need to breed and it seemed that this fall was one of his most pleasurable seasons in all his years. This poor mare was next, not that he felt any guilt for what he did. They wanted it. Never had he had one who hadn't wanted to be had. Thank the Mother he had been born as spectacular and extravagant as he had.
Looking back at the task at hand, he surmised that a traditional approach might work best here. This girl looked elegant and like she might appreciate his coming forward directly. The stallion took his chance and stepped into her scene, offering his company. "'Ello, Ma'am! Maight Ah say, you look to be a might beau'iful today!"

Merri hadn't expected to see anyone today, but one did walk up to her, and made her stop in her tracks. A blue and green stallion, or.. peacock stallion? She wasn't really sure, because those feathers really resembled feathers, but she had never seen anything like it before, so she got a little surprised. "Well hello there. Thanks." She said with a little smile on her lips before flickering her audits a little. Her face was marked with white, partially by a star, and by sabino markings like splashed paint, but those deep green eyes were looking straight at him, curiously. She wasn't a mare who was new to flirting, and she certainly was not afraid, only of the thunder. "Who might you be? I have never seen anything like yourself around here."

"Name's Rhys! At your service," he said properly, extending a foreleg to bow. It felt refreshing to actually court again. He'd done it plenty in his younger years but recently the burn had just driven him too insane to worry over such trifles. He could see that this lovely thing would probably not much care for the crazed lunatic he could be. Best to use this tactic today.
Rhys pulled back up, catching sight of her green eyes. They were special and hard to look away from. The stallion found this mare quite beautiful in more ways than one already. Lucky her. It wasn't too often that Rhys found something truly special in one of the opposite sex. He generally thought of them as pretty equal, not wanting to show any preference since he'd thought he didn't have one. "And yours?"

Merrilyn
"Merrylin. Nice to meet you Rhys." It wasn't hard to see that she probably were several years younger than him, but she had a mature personality, even though she wasn't stuck up. She was just Merry, in her own special way. The little smile on her lips could tell anyone that she truly was happy to meet this stallion, however unusual he looked. It truly was fascinating to look at him, the green feathers almost sparkling in the golden light, and she couldn't help but almost stare at him. Strange, huh?
"You sure look odd, mister. The king of peacocks maybe?" She was slightly teasing with him, as she laughed a little after that, and she shifted her weight, before walking just a few step, just to take in his appearence a little more. He was odd, from tip to toe. The only thing she seemed to hold that he hadn't was the eyes. Her eyes was the same deep green as part of those feathers was.

The mare called him "odd". Not the word he'd choose, but that was that. He supposed she was entitled to her opinion, and she hadn't said it in a negative way. Perhaps she was playing keep away. Bring it on.
"And as King declare that you, fair maiden, are the fairest in all the land!" he bellowed proudly up at the sky as he began to prance around Merrylin. Theatrics were a common display from Rhys. He felt it elaborated on his traditional approach and incorporated a bit of her humor as well, which he hoped she would find especially humorous and therefore quite attractive. Rhys carried his tail, heavy with feathers, quite high today.
