Kiva stood in a nonchalant way, his wind moving back and forth. A tweet chirped by his ears, a Sparrow sitting between his ears. He chirped madly, for the morning winds didn't fare well with the bird. "You would think that the winds would be a liking of yours Pit." The bird ruffled its feathers and huffed out its chest, scooting close to the stallions ears the were constantly forward. "You would think that you would get out of this wind, and sniffing out mares per usual." The sparrow tweeted gently. Kiva tossed his head, and snorted. "The beauties need their rest, for I'll be harassing them all day for sure." He said in confidence. "They need it." Pit flew up in the air when Kiva tossed his head. His chirps mixed in with curses from the gods for making him lose his warmth. Kiva's laugh bellowed through the morning air, steam coming from his mouth. His one blind eye glinted brightly with the rising sun. "I wonder how you are so gentle with the ladies when you toss me about from your head!" This made Kiva laugh even more. "I have my ways bird!" He said jokingly. His grin widening.

Being born on these islands, or rather, being born on Tangaroa, before Wahale had become leader, she was very aquinted with these surroundings, and that was showing as she moved around every little rock and plant with grace as she closed in on the watersource, her throat very dry and thick. It felt like she hadn't had water for days, but it had just been her own stupidity, she had been walking along the beach all night and hadn't had a drink until now, since this was one of the few watersources around here. As the blue roan mare walked towards the little waterpool, she didn't notice the bright stallion with his companion, she cam in at a wrong angle to really pay much attention to the bright dot of color in the corner of her eye. The wind stirred up her black and white mane and tail, twisting them around in all their length.
She was a slightly striped mare, along both side of the neck and withers, and on the thighs and rump, she was striped as a zebra, and white stripes as tobiano markings along her neck, made the mane partially white, just as the tail, as she had a spot of white at the dock of the tail. Her eyes were like pure gold, with faint spots of skyblue in them, but they were all focusing in dipping her head in that small pool of fresh water, and she did too, drinking several mouthfuls before she raised her head to look around. This wasn't usually a spot were freshwater could be found, but the winter on the mainland had brought rain to the islands, and the rainwater had gathered in this small pool in a natural little hole in the ground. It wasn't the tastiest water, but it would do.

Kiva made a sort of purr sound when he smelt the mare, More like a soft nicker. It wasn't loud enough for the mare to hear. But Pit made a sort of low whistle in his bird like ways. "That's a fine lass." He said in a low whistle Kiva ignored the bird, and tossed up his head. Slowly picking his way along the leaves fallen off trees. She was in fact a fine lass, her mane and tail were filled with black and white. He nickered a bit loudly. Trying to catch her attention as he took the distance away from them. He spoke clearly when he stood in front of her "Hello there my dear." He said, bowing his head a little bit. "My name is Kiva, Do you mind sharing your name with me? Why waiting for her reply, he examined her very quietly, Pit sitting in-between his ears, nestled up like before. He peered over to see where the mares muzzle had been, a small puddle that the rainwater had collected in. He of course didn't like the island water as much as the river Cognar. The river Cognar was the most delicious water that he could think of. He loved it in the winter too. That's when it was cold to the touch of skin, and the smell of winter air made him want to ditch the islands and run for the mainland to experience the snowy weather in the north and all the territories. "Are you sure you want to drink that water lass? It doesn't seem to look all that tasty."
