SHAELIR & DAMARIO
Shaelir's eye's glazed over as she looked down at the silver bay sabino colt at her feet. It wriggled and shook in the cold air. But, even with new life at her feet, Shaelir could only think about Acantha. Acantha, Acantha, Acantha. A small, raspy cough sounded from the foal, and shook the whole colt's body. It snapped Shae out of her thoughts as she lowered herself, looking at it's small bodice shake. A opaque discharge ran out his nose and it worried Shae as her brow scrunched together. She nudged the small colt, its breathing raspy, and it worried her. She couldn't lose another, not another....

Shae paced worriedly, it had been a week since the birthing and the colt and he was just starting to recover... recover from what exactly though. She flicked her tail as the names passed through her head. Raven? No. Sabih? No. D... Damario? Maybe. "Damario?" She spoke aloud, and the colt turned to look at her with large soft eyes. A grin spread across her face and she tousled his tiny forelock, and he attempted a grin just like hers, back at her. She nickered softly, touching her maw to his shoulder before walking forward again. Where would she go now? Was it time for Goer to meet his son? His sickly son... Shae pushed the thought away abruptly, it still scared her to see him like this, she knew it would make him easier to catching disease later in his life. She nudged his rump softly, stopping at looking at the shore of the ocean, pulling her colt in as the winter wind licked at their bodies.

[bg=090909][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true]ยป Goer was....he was excited even ecstatic perhaps at the notion of welcoming a new child, a new son that could possible lessen the impact of Acantha and her absence. Dramatic as he considered it though, but things had seemed almost dark and never quite the same since the fillys' abduction and he knew it was just that - the question he refused to think for an answer to was whether or not she were still alive, but he supposed he might never find out. He only had distanced himself more, especially to-ward Shaelir as he could not see the pain and devastation in her eyes. No, he always had Coeur check on the mare passing it off as one day he would be doing this and was never too early to learns one role. His worry had vanished for the younger stallion now as he seemed to fall back into his old habits; somewhat pushy nature as well with a mischievous heart, but he supposed perhaps the mutated son had matured through this ordeal.
Spotting Shaelir he smiled gently in a showing of far more emotion that he ever had, though he was hesitant to approach the two rather to shatter something he looked upon as something light. Inching around the pair he inclined his head first to-ward the mare; a noble and now common gesture he seemed to pay to others. It was his greeting of the King. Looking down upon the colt you could almost see the muscles of his face tick in concern at the over-all look of this foal; he appeared....Goer could not seem to place perhaps what was wrong or out of place about the foal, but he knew there was something and for this there was no happy greeting or spoke names. His golden eyes found Shaelirs' own with one question demanded. "What is wrong?"

Shaelir raised her head, spotting a small smile on his face. She smiled back, though the thought of Acantha was trying to shatter her, seeing Goer once again brightened her spirits. The colt's ribs protruded out of his chest, and he gave a loud racking cough that echoed in his small unstable body. A frown crossed over her face as she touched her maw gently to his neck. 'What is wrong?' Three simple words that pierced through her. Her throat ran dry as she forced herself to swallow roughly, much like sand paper. "I- I don't know. He was born like sick and hasn't gotten better." Shae said, fear flashing in her eyes, she couldn't lose another. Losing one was hard enough- way too hard. Shae had not seen Goer since the day they were informed their daughter had been taken, abducted, stolen. Her heart wrung sadly, and her eyes burned, tears forcing their way up. She blinked, forcing them away before turning to look back up into his eyes. "It's- it's great to see you again, Goer." Shae said smiling at him again. She had stopped herself from running and curling up at his side. He didn't really show much affection, especially not to her. He knew he had a special with Quinn, and Shae was actually quite jealous. She loved Goer with all her heart, but she knew he was more reserved. The small colt coughed again, almost falling over but Shae wrapped her strong neck around the colt, pulling him upright. He shivered, leaning into his mother and looking at the large stallion with large, curious eyes. OOC: D'awww D: [/blockquote]
