Sage snorted through her nose and peered over at Lycia, a look of despair quickly crossed her face. But was quickly masked over with her normal look. A heavy weight on her shoulders were being piled up. Where was that Stallion? Caiaphas.. His name stuck to her tongue, like a blade of grass that old mares that Sage knew stuck grass in their cheeks for later, it can come in handy in the desert when you exploring the dunes. Unless your one of those expert horses who can go at least a day without food or water. Sage stomped her hoof down on the fall ground, she was near the Auster Woods border again. And the Orange leaves were falling onto her mane and back. She shook them off in annoyance. Fall wasn't a happy time, Well at least for the mountains for her. Back when she was a loner, she loved the coming of Fall, it meant for her a time back into the Sand Dunes. And oh did she enjoy her time in the Sand Dunes, Sand rolling off her back into the dunes. It made Sage shiver in excitement. Sage quickly came out of her thoughts, the thought of finding that stallion came back quickly. She didn't know why she felt she wanted to show him this Daughter he produced. But somehow it felt necessary. Like showing Vasily to Budik, it would seem wrong not to. Although she thought she would most likely act like a pain in the butt when she finally found him. If that stupid bird came near her daughter.. she'd bite its neck off. She swore she would.
Lycia followed her Mother near the Auster Wood Border, a place that was a frequent walk for the both of them. Lycia looked rather fondly at these walks. Because they were slower than the natural fast paced walks. Her Mother walked slow, and often swiveling her head back in forth looking for something. Often the young foal would also turn her head every which way, looking for what her mother was looking for. Nothing ever did appear. And that fumbled her heart a little bit, If her Mother was looking for something, then why could she not find it by venturing further? She seemed tied to the land through. Lycia quickly ran through her mind how she might live when she was older. For sure she knew she would run off away from this land, and off to the lands that she barely knew of. And since her Mother had told her that Fathers were never excited for the birth of a daughter, then why should she stay here in her Fathers herd? Well, she only proclaimed Budik her Father because of the mention of a brother out of the stallion. Because in the mind of Lycia, only two horses had foals together, and it seemed perfect in that way.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » The black stallion puffed out a breath as he stood hidden in the trees. He was at the edge of the border, very close to where his deed had occurred. Caiaphas had still not come to terms with the predicament and the mere closeness to the area caused his skin to twitch lightly.
» "Ah, precious." Came a caw from overhead. Pilate's wings fluttered as he perched high in his tree. "Such a precious, master." He whispered, choking off his voice as he realized what was about to happen. Pilate rose off of the branch quickly and flew forward landing directly above Caiaphas' nightmare.
» He noticed them far too late for any escape. His senses, usually heightened and fully able to detect things, had been clouded by his thoughts once more. It was proving to cause rather dangerous predicaments. "Damn." his low voice cracked under the pressure. He knew what he would need to face now and he didn't use any energy trying to hide his sound.
» Smokey ears flicked forward as he heard Pilate's light cackling in the trees above the mare. The faint word he had adopted could be heard easily and he sensed the mare's mood. "Sage." The deepness of his voice bubbled with a light emotion that only he could detect. "And this is?" He eye'd the young filly with intensity, stepping out into her view and pausing. He would play no games in such a matter. He was not that stallion.
OOC: YAY baby!

Sage snorted, seeing herself come to the area in which had been stuck with her for quite awhile, of course it was stuck with her mind, the foal was always going to be a reminder of course. Sage turned her head to look at her daughter who walked not as close as she had when she was born. She was already starting to Grey out. It wasn't a very graceful graying out as most of her family members in Sages side had done, but all in all, Lycia was actually graying out very darkly. Sage stopped very suddenly and lifted her ears, swiveling them back and forth. A sound, a sound was somewhere. Somewhere near her. She turned her head up to the trees to see that stupid bird, she glared at its cackling laughter. "Oh shut up bird!" She said in a annoyed voice. "Do you see anyone else laughing with you?!" Sage stepped to the side, closer to Lycia when she heard Caiaphas curse in the darkness of the shadows. She relaxed remembering how she didn't want to be an over protective mother to her daughter. Who is this was his first question of course, It would be obvious. He then stepped out as Sage eyed him, wondering if that stupid bird took heed to her words. "This is Lycia, your daughter."
Lycia could almost felt a little scared when her mother stepped nearly into her. She quickly moved away before this happened, She switched to the other side of the mare, seeing as she didn't particularly want to be at that side. The bird was somewhat scary too, its laughter was echoing. But of course... it might not be so scary when i was older.. Mother wasn't scared it seemed. In fact she seemed angry at it. Lycia then saw the big stallion come out of the darkness. She peered up at him. Her eyeballs quickly glanced at Sage to make sure it was somewhat safe. She then returned her gaze back.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » "Silence." Boomed the voice of the coldblood as he stopped walking and turned his white splashed face to the sky. "Silence will be heard." He aimed his anger at Pilate, for a light fear pulled at him as he looked down to his daughter. He could not be angry with the filly or its innocent mother. He was to blame for this mess, and he was the one who must fix it.
» Caiaphas could see the child's little heart fluttering like butterflies wings and he held his harsh tongue from its ordinary ways as if to spare her. As he had commanded, silence rang out for minuets on end and Caiaphas waited. He was thinking in his silence, pondering a solution to his growing problem. Annas would know what to do. The cream colored devil would certainly have a plan that Caiaphas would then mold into his own. Breaking the calm stillness, the smokey colored coldblood flicked his head to Pilate, summoning him closer.
» "You will go now," The master whispered lowly to his friend, "and bring Annas to me when this is through." One thing was for sure, Annas could not be present at this meeting. Nor would he ever be offered council with Sage or Lycia. That would make things far too easy for the stealthy beast. Without further persuasion, Pilate glided over Lycia and flew of into the mountains, cackling all the way with a sick laughter that was only used away from his master's grasps.
» "Come closer, child." He tried to look less threatening, but failed in the end allowing his deep voice to curl around her. She must be terrified, thought the dark lord, and its all your fault. The father seemed to cower in the shadows for a few moments, his eyes jumping this way and that as his thoughts rapidly floated through him. Eventually he came around, lowering his head and walking forward. He took his chances with the mare called Sage. Even if she chose to be protective and bite his head off, he was far bigger then she, and he deserved a few scratches.
OOC: xD awwww. Daddy Cai.

Sage breathed through her nose, And made a slight annoyed expression when the bird came closer than she liked. She made sure to glare at the bird in case it glanced even her way, but it didn't, it simply flew off when Caiaphas whispered to it. Glad to be rid of that thing.. Sage returned her gaze from where the bird was to Caiaphas. It was true that she began turning sterner and more into her survival techniques more than when she had found when she first joined the herd. She simply did these things to teach her daughter the ways of the means of survival. She simply watched when he spoke to their Daughter. Her face was blank while she waited for the conversation to start, But her body was ready to pounce if anything bad be-fell on the child.
Lycia stared up at the stallion. His body quite taller and sturdier than that of her Mother's. In fact, it seemed that this male horse seemed more sturdy than the other female horses that she had encountered. The filly cautiously stepped forward, her head extended out to see if the stallions scent was familiar. It was not at all. The Horse also took up to lowering his head in a weary way and stepped forward. Lycia stood her ground, her head no longer stretched out to smell the scent. Should she try and use body actions to try and speak? Just like that one mare had said that she had met? Lycia didnt bother to think more of that, if she need too, she would try at the very least to dwelve into body expressions of some sort.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][cs=7][bg=000000] » Caiaphas observed his daughter as she approached. He was rather shocked at first, considering their size differences, then a wave of relief past over him. She was brave, she held her ground just as her mother did. She would survive on her own.
» Her little white nose was hesitant but in time it extended slightly towards her father. In return, Caiaphas slowly dipped his head towards her. His nose brushed slightly against her, taking in her scent and retreating quickly to its normal height. "Lycia." He whispered her name as he watched her. She herself didn't seem odd, but when he looked her over further he noticed her oddly shaped tail. "What is that?" His voice carried no emotion but inside Caiaphas' worries reignited. Was she deformed, hurt even? What had he done?
OOC: not great. but meh.

Sage watched Caiaphas with a proud smile on her face. After finding the Stallion and showing him his daughter. It made her feel fulfilled. She of course knew his scent quite well, being as she had a daughter out of him. But her daughter was now just relishing her time in her fathers scent. Caiaphas also seemed to take in the child's scent. In which Sage was glad that he at least... in her eyes seemed somewhat obligated or fascinated... or perhaps love? At least he was paying attention to the child. She listened quietly to him talking to Lycia. " Caiaphas, She was born that way, with her two tails. But she likes to intertwine them sometimes. I don't know why through..." She paused. "Perhaps i should tell you that she's mute also.. Being as why she didn't respond to your question."
The minute they said something of her tails, she fixed them closely together, interwining them. The stallion, in which she just figured out was named Caiaphas, had at the very least... seemed quite noble? In a way? Well.. of course she would think that. He was her father. But Sage had told her before that most Stallions didn't appear for a daughters birth most of the time. But it was bound that the Father would meet their child one time or another. Since Caiaphas was right before her at the moment proved that thought true.
