Risquè & Cyril
Risk watched his son bounce forward, small fluffy tail wagging much like an excited dogs'. His ears flicked back as he heard someone calling for him- it seemed urgent. He snorted in frustration, he couldn't get there fast enough with Cyril, but Cyril shouldn't be on his own. His eyes flickered back to Cyril, the spines that connected much like fins were already starting to grow from his spine, tail base, and hocks, and randomly placed. Small butts at the ears suggested horns too. The colt sneezed, approaching the whale bones. "Son, I'll be right back." Risk said, before sighing and galloping off.

Cyril's bicolored eyes scanned the giant whale skeleton, and he sneezed, the wind tickling his nose. His back ached slightly, and he shook, unsure of what it was. His fuzzy tail paused when he heard his fathers voice 'son, I'll be right back.' Where was he going? Cyril whipped around but he was already disappearing into the trees. His body shook slightly, was he coming back? He turned back to the skeleton, approaching it and touching his little maw to it. It groaned in the wind, and a smile flew across his face. He reared up shakily, striking the skeleton with his small sharp hooves.
A nagging voice reached his ears, and he turned to look. A older filly- his half sister, was walking towards him. He pinned his ears, turning away from her. Since day one she had bossed him around. He flicked his tail, nose held high. He would be better then her one day. He was the heir. He would take his fathers place once he was older, and he was super excited about that. Even though his father was okay with mainlanders sometimes, the thought of them sickened Cyril. Those dirty, selfish things would come no where near Kahukura when he was Chief. If one of his horses took a trip to the mainland, they would have to beg to be allowed back in. He didn't want anyone going there. But god, father had done something with one, whose stomach had grown with pregnancy. If father 'supposedly' didn't like mainlanders, then what had he done?!
Cyril tossed his head, he didn't need to worry about his future or fathers' herd, he was only a week old for that matter. He turned sharply, stumbling to the ground, his balance still a little unsteady. He huffed and hoisted himself back up, shaking the sand from his dark coat.
