[bg=090909][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true]» The seasons had passed so quickly; years now since he had set up home here in his childhood home and yet, still things still plagued him and teased at his mind. Stuck it seemed between two mores hos affections soared to-ward, one capturing his attention immediately while clinging to his side and delivering him his first daughter. Acantha. Gazing upon her now she had grown exceptionally well, a year seeming to mold her perfectly into a beautiful young mare and still yet she needed time before could call herself among those as her mother; of proper age to breed although even then this meeting was not simply one of family gathering with unexpected guest, but one to introduce future mates that would help further the herds population. Arranged marriage of sorts of his daughter to the Lord Baron, Crixus. The stallion had proven loyalty and Goer found himself trusting the other among any other in his herd while seeking him out in advice thus earning him the position of Lord Baron and the respect along with Acantha that came with it. She was a showing of faith and thanks in the other stallion; gift of sorts to further tether him to the herd and his loyalties. Glancing at the young mare beside him he wondered on her reaction as she was not told of her part or position in all this both mother and Crixus were aware of the purpose of today.
» Acantha had seemed excited and energetic in hearing word of going to see her mother who she had been absent from sight of for quite sometime. Goer did not keep with her as much as he had with Coeur and gave the filly a wider burth of freedom when it came to wondering the forests; she headed his orders and rules while respecting them, while her half brother was intent making a name for himself like most young stallions were and yet he seemed to have been calming down lately. Intent more on observing his father and even taking on parts of his own personality; adopting Shaelir almost like a surrogate mother, but never fully forming such a connection and instead respecting her as his sisters mother. At one point he wondered if his son would be envious that the fillys mother had stayed behind to raise her while his had not, but Coeur seemed never phased by such things or never let them show. For now Goer was confident in his son that for this short time he would remain from trouble and perhaps it was signs of him shaping up to be a proper heir. Goer had no mate thus no true heir, but many had began to assume the position to belong to Coeur as first born and still yet first born son; not at all as tall as his younger sister he seemed to be filling out rather nicely.
» Sighing he made to shake himself mentally of the thoughts, each was important and each held more such over the other, but none were pertaining to the current issue and he needed his mind right. Standing he turned to wait for Acantha who slowly was walking, if not trailing behind him eyeing every creature and sight before her. In her earlier youth she was a curious creature, but with a timid nature and it seemed she had just recently began to blossom and venture more out while developing her fathers rather blunt tongue. She still seemed to drip honey from her lips and was seen to have little of a mean bone in her body, but her personality was still forming and changing and he wondered at her in years to come. "Acantha do not delay. Please increase your pace." He gave her a gentle smile while sighing effectively hiding his slight annoyance; he was not use to such lazy walking or stopping to gaze upon the sky. Her response was too playfully roll her eyes while grunting, knocking her head against her fathers' side and returning his own sigh. "I only move so fast, father. Apologies." It was a simple jest while she teased Goer, and laughed quietly earning an uncharacteristic roll of his own eyes and snort of annoyance.
» "Why do I doubt sincerity of your words?" His tone became teasing once more while the muscle above his eye twitched before he made a gesture of extending his head and neck to usher her forward; gods be merciful if they were late.

[atrb=border,0,true][cs=7][bg=340e0a] "Shaelir Speech" Shaelir thought
|
Text Shaelir moved steadily through the thick forest, her mind running and skipping and dancing around in joy- today she would get to see her daughter again from the long time she had left with her father. Her ears flicked back as a large stallion approached at her hindquarters, and she pinned them warningly. The stallion snorted, his shoulder bumping against her flank as they moved. 'You're moving quite slow, don't you think?' The stallion asked, and Shae rolled her eyes, "What's the rush?" She asked, yet she knew the answer, because the promise of a mare- my daughter. Shae was wary of this stallion, yet she knew Goer trusted him, Shae just didn't want to accept the fact that her daughter was growing up. A familiar scent caught Shaelir's nose as she turned sharply, tucking in her forelegs as she cleared a large log. Crixus, the stallion paused, looking at the log before snorting and clumsily jumping over it, stumbling as he landed. Shaelir tossed her head, what a clutz. The stallion moved up next to Shae, and she took a step away from him, snorting. The stallion ducked his head and Shae picked up a slow, smooth collected canter, her creamy mane and tail flowing out behind her. She could hear muffled hoof beats- that weren't coming from the two of them. Shae bounced a little, before slowing and collecting her trot and smoothly rounding the corner. Crixus followed the elegant mare- only wondering what her offspring could look like. They rounded the corner and Shaelir caught sight of Goer and Acantha. A smiled spread across her lips and she stopped, nuzzling her daughter's neck, who was already taller then her at age one. Shae's eyes twinkled as she turned her dished head to look at Goer, leaning into his broad chest and nickering softly. "I missed you two so much." Crixus stood off to the side, looking at the beautiful mare that stood at Goer's side. . 350 Words

[bg=090909][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=border,0,true]» She was pleased to see her mother; her attention almost completely passing over the stallion who stood behind her, who simply looked on at her in slight awe. However Goer did notice and chuckled in good humor; Acantha was a unique looking mare to say in the least and her size would come to match her perfectly with the rather bulky and over-sized form that was Crixus. He didn't need to be there to realize and spot Shaelirs' rather hesitance to accept the meaning of this meeting, no doubt wishing to ignore the matter and forever let her daughter be seen as a youth never to age and at times he too wished such things for her, however in the case of Coeur he seemed to find time not passing enough until the young colt matured fully and stopped his childish games. Again though he find himself reminding himself those were matters for later times and that currently there were matters to be dealt with. Bowing his neck he returned the small embrace almost hesitantly, still rather put off by such direct displays as it was not his way, but he indulged the mare countering that it would keep her in good state as too accept future arrangement. "It is pleasure to see you once more, Shaelir." His usual greeting was to bow his head slightly in a nod while twitching his lips in a slight way; it would be missed by many than those who were aware of the stallions rather subdued personality and mannerisms, Shaelir would recognize the act as a warm twitch of the lips or a welcoming grin.
» There would be time later for catching up and words to be exchanged, so leaving Acantha by her mothers' side to fuss and fawn over the no doubt drastic changes from their last meeting, Goer approached Crixus with the same nod of acknowledgement. "I trust journey here was...pleasant?" He looked over his shoulder to-ward the older mare in curios fashion with questioning look back the larger stallion; he would have enjoyed being a bird overheard for such a journey between the two. Clearing his chest from fighting back his slight laughter at the thought he moved to stand somewhat beside at an angle from the other, his vision following to Acantha who stood closely to her mother. "I see you have noticed, Acantha. Thoughts?" He was generally curious about the others opinion of his daughter who had seemed to finally noticed Crixus' presence with a bit of surprise.
» Her eyes stared for a moment no longer as not to come off as rude, looking back at her mother in curios question. "Mother...who does father speak to?" She blinked her eyes rapidly, her true innocence being revealed that no matter he size she was still merely a filly of one year.
