STEALING RULES:[/b]
- Any stallion over the age of two may attempt to steal any mare, stallion, or foal that they wish. However if it is a foal that is being stolen, a surrogate/caretaker will be needed to assist in its care. If the steal of a foal is successful, please link us to the surrogate mother's profile.
- Mares may attempt to steal another mare's foal, should they so desire.
- Foals may not steal.
- Now, how are we going to go about this? Why, RIDDLES of course! Test your riddling skills against other members by placing clues into your steal.
- What kind of clues, you ask? Hint at the target's color, where he/she lives, his/her name, or anything else that you can think of! Be wary of being too vague, however; if staff deem a steal too vague, it will be deemed unfair and will automatically be forfeit.
- Your riddles don't have to be a mile long! If they include enough clues to be able to be guessed correctly, you are good!
- Please include at least three or four clues into your riddle.
- All steals will have two days to be properly guessed.
- If steals are not guessed within their two day period, then the thief must post an explanation of their riddle and why it explains who their target was. Staff will review the riddle and, provided the clues were obvious enough, the thief wins!
- Any stallion/mare over the age of two may attempt to steal; however, only stallions who take care of the target may successfully block the steal. For example, if Bob wanted to steal Mary's foal, Mary's mate Stew would have to block the steal, not Mary. Hope that makes sense!
- If mares who do not live in a herd are targeted, they may guess for themselves and evade capture.
- If a mare is living on her own and her foal is targeted, she may protect the foal.
EXAMPLE RIDDLE:
(Assuming that the target is Mary, a palomino mare who lives in a forest.)
Mare, do you see what I see?
A future away from those silly trees.
Reaping the golden harvest, I'll take you away.
You'll soon see the sun rise on a brand new day.
- Bob
(Assuming that the target is Mary, a palomino mare who lives in a forest.)
Mare, do you see what I see?
A future away from those silly trees.
Reaping the golden harvest, I'll take you away.
You'll soon see the sun rise on a brand new day.
- Bob
-- This is pretty much the idea, if not an extremely simple one. ^^; Now, assuming that Bob's riddle wasn't guessed, here is his explanation:
- The first letter of each line spells out the mare's name, Mary.
- A future away from those silly trees is a reference to where she lives.
- The golden harvest refers to her coat color.
- A future away from those silly trees is a reference to where she lives.
- The golden harvest refers to her coat color.
-- And that's pretty much it! See, not too hard. If you have any questions, PM a staff member!
