Epona had decided to declare Lake Vesta her home. Although she knew it could change quickly in her mind. Nothing really stuck much at all in her mind. In fact, everytime she made up her mind, she'd change it with the snap of a twig. Epona shook her head, letting her mane fly in a few directions then rest on her neck in a strangled mess. "Oh Lake Vesta.... I hope I stay here longer than my mind might have planned" The Pale Chestnut mare wandered over to the water, dipping her head for a drink of water. She enjoyed the Lake, it was where she was born, grew up with her Dam. She loved the place.Despite the way she was usually here when no one was. That wasn't entirely true. She'd met a few others, but nothing really stuck out, the most she'd met others were when Her dam brought her around others to meet, so she wouldn't be so shy. At least that worked, she could tell she wasn't shy at the very least when a horse at least came. But all the horses mostly came here for the water... That was it.

LANDRY Landry had resided near Lake Vesta for nearly a year now and he knew the time was coming when he would venture away from the peaceful terrain. He needed a change of scenery and that would only happen if he picked up his lazy legs and made it happen himself. Maybe he'd visit the mountains or the plains...
For today, he'd remain. How could he not? Spring had taken over the lovely landscape and the sight was splendrous. The clear water called to him always, as it did today. The stallion stood knee-deep in the lake, enjoying the feeling of small fish weaving through his strong legs. He could almost fall asleep right there. His father never liked Lake Vesta and for what reason Landry could not fathom. It was different than the waters of the Mire, but it was not ugly because of it. It was just different.
The stallion opened his eyes, panning the edges quickly to affirm his solidarity. As it turned out, a mare had intruded upon it. She was pretty, as all mares were. She seemed nice enough. Landry let out a greeting whinny as he began wading slowly toward her, unwilling to disrupt his marine friends more than was necessary.

The thought of just coming for water and not enjoying the surrounding area was somewhat an insult to her. She would have loved to chase and bite them away till they learned to praise the greatness of it all. It sounded harsh, of course. But Epona being taught not to harshly judge others was bound into her blood like genetics. It still was brought up in her mind every once in awhile through. Epona had brought her head up to notice that a horse was wadding through the water carefully. Listening to his whinny with ears forward. She offered a whinny back, a friendly one at it. Seeing the Stallion wadding through the water carefully, made him in her mind.... Seem more suitable for a conversation. The mere thought of coming in contact with someone who disregarded nature as something just there, made her mind buzz with threats. Epona sighed, and silenced her thoughts of that so she wouldn't seem like a struck up idiot to the Stallion. "What is your name?" She whinnied to him from the shore.

[th][cs=3][rs=3][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,491][bg=241633] "'Tis Landry," he cooed, periodically taking steps closer to the mare.
His smile was characteristic of his heritage. It wasn't often that a Yacarian could be found in a foul mood - happiness was in their blood. The light stallion stopped a good ten feet from the female, his head tilted and his ears erect. Water still swirled around his pasterns, tickling them as it went along with its business. Landry's wet hide was plastered to his sides, the tips of his mane wet as well.
He'd never seen this one before. Did it matter? Landry would be off soon - maybe it was a bad idea to make friends so close to the beginning of a journey. No, making friends was never a bad idea. When had his father ever passed up the chance to meet someone new? Never in his life. Or, at least, from what Landry had seen. The stallion mustered up the strength to let a few more words putter from his mouth:
"An' you?"

The minute Epona heard his words, she could hear the Yacarian accent very clearly. It reminded her of someone else she had met while they... passed by for some water. "It's Epona." She said with a slight welcoming smile come to her lips. A sort of friendly aura was emitting of the stallion, At least he isn’t twisting everywhere and making the water murky with dirt. “May I ask if you're just passing by? I haven't seen you around Lake Vesta at all." She waited patiently for his response. While she did, she thought about the horses that had traveled by the Lake. She hadn't seen many with his kind of Accent of the marshes, Mainly she had run into the plains kind of horses. A few Desert and Mountain horses, and rarely any islanders. His kind of people we'rnt rare, nor were they too commonly seen. The stallion, Landry, had a somewhat interesting name, but of course, the islanders had even stranger names, names that she never thought could be used. But it was still interesting. Epona hadn't heard a L name is quite awhile.

[th][cs=3][rs=3][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,491][bg=241633] "Dat a fact?" When he did speak, Landry's words were fast-paced, as if eager to be done using them. The light stallion stood only steps away from her now, watching her with the lovely smile he'd inherited from his father.
Landry had been at Lake Vesta for a while now; it was surprising that they'd never seen each other before today. Not for long though. The stallion would be on his way to set up camp somewhere else. Maybe he'd head north to the ever-present mountains or maybe south to the scorching deserts. The Homeland offered much in the way of climate and he planned to take it all in.
"Not stoppin' by - Ah been he-yuh a while now," he mustered. His voice was quiet, meant for only her to hear. He merely smiled back...
OOC: Landry's tough to thread against. xDD He never has anything to say.

"Ah, than I must take it that you have been on the other side of the Lake that I don't usually wander over to." I should visit it more often through... Epona noted that down into her mind for a later run about around the lake. His smile was very contagious and it made Epona smile a little bit in front of Laundry. Epona took it upon herself to wonder why he had that accent and why he had traveled so far, of course some horses traveled for personaly reasons, maybe to visit a loved one, or a fallen ancestors resting place. Or maybe just for the thrill of adventure. Right now His motives seemed very un-clear at the moment, although adventuring was always going to be her first suspicion. "Sorry if this seems rude, but you come off as if your adventuring to me, is that true?" Epona seemed to herself to come of rude, she had been taught much better. To see that laundry thought of this would be rude would somewhat make her become socially awkward at the moment, she didnt like the thought of being socially rejected. But at the moment through, This stallion didn't seem as if he would be offended at the very least. Now that Epona was thinking, she convinced herself somewhat that he wouldn't mind at all, well maybe

[th][cs=3][rs=3][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,491][bg=241633] Landry couldn't help but laugh a little at her question. His head fell until he faced the water below him for a moment before looking back up, his shoulders no doubt bobbing from the activity.
"Ah don' think so, Miss," he said as he shook his head, a smile clear on his face. Well, now that she mentions it... he thought. Perhaps he could be considered somewhat of an adventurer. He'd always just thought of himself as a traveler - a roamer - a nomad. Those things could be adventurers, right? The light stallion shook his mane out a little before speaking again, his voice quiet and dormant.
"Well, maybe. If yuh call movin' around every so of'en bein' an 'adventuruh', Ah suppose."
OOC: Looooool you called him Laundry
