"How are you today, Miss Jada?" The large white stallion asked softly as his friend trotted toward his laying frame. The fox always seemed to have a smile on her face and as she approached, she let out a quiet bark of assurance. Jada rubbed against his back as she rounded him, hopping onto his barrel to sit. The two were a bit of a strange sight, but it seemed that the islands were getting odder and odder with every passing day. There were no mutations between the two, though one of Jada's brothers had been born more of a deep teal color rather than the traditional red, silver, or black. In the fox world, mutations were to be feared, not revered as they so often were in the equine world. Vixens did not flock to mutated reynards as mares did to mutated stallions. If it all kept up, the mutations of the canine world would be contained, not as blown out of proportion.
Jedermann and his best friend Jada lived in a secluded little grove inside Kahukura, complete with a spring and waterfall. It was a beautiful place and wasn't frequented by any but the two of them. Of course, Jeder never minded the occasional visit. He'd never met "Risque", as Kahukura's leader was named, but he wouldn't mind it. One would be hard-pressed to find Jedermann leaving his humble abode to seek out anyone, really. It just wasn't in his nature to be too curious, at least, not curious enough to leave a good thing. Of course Jada would follow wherever he went. And so, the two stayed put, enjoying the soft mist of the nearby waterfall as they rested the day away.
OOC: He's so boring but I love him. <333

She had never really understood why horses gathered so eagerly in herds actually. She could see the benefits of course, but also the downsides. Maybe it was because she was so young still and she didn't want to settle down, but she had no intentions on joining either Island-herds at the moment. She wanted to wander around freely, explore things and grow up a bit before she got used to a more settled down-life. But she couldn't lie and say that she didn't like the idea of a family. The thoughts of that made her shudder for a moment as she walked towards the clearing that she saw a little further ahead, ears pricked forward since she was quite curious in general.
She was an odd looking horse, but free of the many mutations she had seen around the island on different horses. She usually walked around all the islands, just exploring and getting experience. She was growing, maturing, and she was definetly getting more attention from the boys now. But then again, none had interested her enough to settle down with a foal in tow. No, not yet maybe. She shook her deep red mane and took a step into the clearing, just to see a starch white stallion and a fox a little further in. It made her stop and tilt her head. Now this was a curious sight.

Jedermann was nothing if not in tune with his home. The grove was small; it was easy to tell when things were not as they had been. The mare's presence startled Jada more than the stallion, though. After all, what did a laid-back male like Jeder have to fear when it came to a mare? A smile slunk onto his face as he contemplated whether or not to stand in her presence. It would be only proper. Then again, what was proper anymore? Jedermann knew that to be kind was to be put farther forward than to be right.
Nonetheless, the stallion took it upon himself to welcome the female presence into his home. Jada, on the other hand, wasn't quite as keen. The red vixen scampered into a nearby fern, careful to keep herself hidden save for her black, pointed ears which stuck up from behind the leaves. The dominant white's smile was soft and his eyes, naturally drooped as they were, looked only to say hello. His head bobbed up and down gently as he walked toward the red and white mare. She shone like a star in his green paradise.
"Greetings, Star of the Island," he nicknamed, wholeheartedly.
OOC: He's a sillypants. xD So sorry for the wait!!

Chidea looked at the fox as it startled away and hid behind some greens, so that only her ears were showing, and then she turned her blue gaze towards the starch white stallion, as crisp white as she partially was. Her dark red chestnut markings, mane and tail looked like blood or the petals of a red rose against the white. The stallions little greeting and nickname of her didn't pass her by, but it made her flicker her ears in curiosity. What a strange nickname, but alas, she could not complain, he didn't know her name and he could hardly give her a proper nickname then. "I'm hardly at star, or a star of anything really, but greetings to you too, white stallion. Am I trespassing?" Her voice was calm, yet curious and fun in some odd sort of way. It was hard to describe, but you could hear the joy she carried in her voice, and see it in her blue eyes.
As nobody else moved, she took a few steps closer, putting her dainty feet down like she was afraid of trampling anything. her whole figure was dainty, but you could see that she bore no sadness in her, she was young and could startle out in bounces at any given time if she wanted to, but she choose to tread carefully, since this was obviously his place.

"And isn't it always the nature of stars to reject reality?" Jeder asked softly as he stopped a few feet in front of her. He offered up no response to her question, merely letting the air settle around them, giving the atmosphere time to adjust.
Jedermann's pink lips still formed a smile at this point, one that was invariably small but still undeniable. It wasn't often that he had visitors, let alone of the female variety. It wasn't often that they recognized their beauty or worth and this one was no exception. Jeder had always found their purpose in life to be beautiful in itself - to be mothers. The white stallion he never fathered a child before but he figured that by the end of his life it would be inevitable. Jada would soon leave him to have her own pups, but she'd be back soon after. It was the nature of things.
The fox remained hidden, unwilling to show her face to this white and red mare.
